Treatment of Small Peri‐Implant Buccal Dehiscence Defects With SCTG or GBR: 3‐Year Results of a Pilot Study

open access: yesClinical Implant Dentistry and Related Research, Volume 28, Issue 6, December 2026.
This pilot randomized controlled trial evaluated SCTG and GBR for small peri‐implant buccal dehiscence defects (≤ 3 mm). At 3 years, both approaches showed stable buccal contours, favorable peri‐implant health and low patient‐reported oral health impact under adequate plaque control and supportive care.

Influence of Universal Adhesives With or Without Silane Compared to One‐Step and Two‐Step Silane Agents on Bond Strength to Lithium Disilicate

open access: yesJournal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, Volume 38, Issue 12, Page 2279-2287, December 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the microshear bond strength (μSBS) to lithium disilicate achieved with universal adhesives (with and without silane) compared with one‐step and two‐step silanes, immediately (IM) and after thermocycling (TC). Chemical interaction (CI) was also assessed.

Near‐infrared confocal imaging reveals the spatial organisation of far‐red photosynthesis in Shark Bay microbial mats and Halomicronema sp.

open access: yesJournal of Microscopy, Volume 304, Issue 3, Page 277-300, December 2026.
Abstract Far‐red light (FRL) cyanobacteria occupy spectrally filtered habitats where visible wavelengths are depleted but far‐red radiation persists. Shark Bay (Western Australia) stromatolitic microbial mats provide such a habitat, containing subsurface cyanobacterial communities in which chlorophyll d/f (Chl d/f)‐containing phototrophs coexist with ...
