Polyaniline intercalated into zeolites, zirconium phosphate and zirconium arsenate

Journal of Physical Organic Chemistry, 1994
AbstractAniline (or aniline hydrochloride) was intercalated into zeolite, zirconium phosphate and zirconium arsenate (proton form and sodium form) and subsequently oxidized to polyaniline (PAN) by ammonium peroxodisulphate. The structure of PAN in the host was studied by electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy.

Acidity of crystalline zirconium phosphate

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1978
Abstract The acid strength distribution has been measured for the crystalline zirconium phosphate thermally treated at various temperatures. There are two types of acids with remarkably different strength of acidity from one another; +4.8 ≥ Ho ≥ + 3.3 and −3.0 ≥Ho ≥−5.6.

Zirconium phosphate ester interchange reactions

Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 1989
α-Zirconium phosphate was demonstrated to undergo ester-interchange reactions with alkyl phosphate groups. Partial interchange was found to occur in neat alkyl phosphate solutions. However, complete exchange is possible if the interlayer spacing of α-zirconium phosphate is first enlarged by intercalating an amine.

Mixed Zirconium Phosphate Bis-Phosphonomethyl Glycine from Nanocrystalline α-Zirconium Phosphate: A Tailored Suite for Gold Nanoparticles

Inorganic Chemistry, 2023
A novel synthetic approach was investigated for the preparation of nanoplatelets of mixed zirconium phosphate bis-phosphonomethyl glycine, ZPGly, by the reaction of a gel of nanocrystalline α-type zirconium phosphate with N,N-bis-phosphonomethyl glycine, H3Gly.

Zirconium phosphate–phosphite containing silica

Solid State Ionics, 1997
Abstract Based on earlier experiences with α- and γ-zirconium phosphate, zirconium phosphate–phosphite (ZrPP) containing silica (ZrSiPP) has been prepared, and its structure identified by XRD. The thermal behaviour and specific surface area have also been determined.

Synthesis of sodium zirconium phosphates

Polyhedron, 1986
Abstract Zr(O3PONa)2 · nH2O can be prepared as a single crystalline phase by direct precipitation in the presence of HF. This material is a powder. When a single crystal of α-HZrP is exchanged with Na+, Zr(O3PONa)2 · nH2O is obtained as a powder-like crystal.

Ion‐exchange Properties of γ‐Zirconium Phosphate

Chemistry – An Asian Journal, 2020
Abstractγ‐Zirconium phosphate (γ‐ZrP) has potential as a very useful inorganic ion‐exchanger due to its stability under thermal and acidic conditions. We recently reported its facile synthesis using a modified solventless method, which could make the exploitation of its ion‐exchange properties for cleanup of radioactive materials and extraction of ...

More on crystalline zirconium phosphates

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1973
Abstract Heating α-zirconium phosphate (α-ZrP) for long periods of time leads to the formation of two new phases ζ-ZrP and η-ZrP. The former phase is similar in structure to the phase obtained from solid-solid ion exchange reactions at low metal ion loadings.

Proton conductivity of mesoporous zirconium phosphate pyrophosphate

Solid State Ionics, 1999
The conductivity of a mesoporous zirconium phosphate pyrophosphate of composition Zr(P 2 O 7 ) 0.81 (O 3 POH) 0.38 and surface area of 215 m 2 /g has been determined as a function of temperature at controlled relative humidity. Ac and dc conductivity measurements carried out on pellets with platinum electrodes, in nitrogen or hydrogen flow, showed ...
