Sediment‐Resistant Marine Antifouling Coating Based on Amphiphilic Copolymer Brushes Bearing Sulfobetaine and Isobornyl Pendants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 12, Issue 23, December 8, 2025.
Amphiphilic copolymer coatings comprising sulfobetaine methacrylate (SBMA) and isobornyl methacrylate (IBMA) are reported, synthesized via SI‐ATRP, that resist biological fouling and sediment accumulation. The copolymer coating with an SBMA:IBMA feed molar ratio of 1:1 is optimal for reducing diatom adhesion and sediment adsorption.

Investigating the effect of positional isomerism on the assembly of zirconium phosphonates based on tritopic linkers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We report on the use of a novel tritopic phosphonic linker, 2,4,6-tris[3-(phosphonomethyl)phenyl]-1,3,5-triazine, for the synthesis of a layered zirconium phosphonate, named UPG-2.

Recent Developments in Organic Radical Inclusion in MOFs and Radical MOFs

open access: yesChemistryOpen, Volume 14, Issue 11, November 2025.
Inclusion of organic radicals in porous materials offers an opportunity to tailor properties that include stability of radicals, conductivity, sensing, and catalysis. Similarly, radical metal‐organic frameworks (MOFs) are synthesised to enhance or create such properties.
