A comparison of ZnO and ZnO−

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1998
Ab initio electronic structure calculations are performed to support and to help interpret the experimental work reported in the preceding manuscript. The coupled cluster singles and doubles [CCSD(T)] approach, in conjunction with a large basis set, is used to compute spectroscopic constants for the X 1Σ+ and Π3 states of ZnO and the X 2Σ+ state of ZnO−

Homoepitaxial growth of ZnO nanostructures from bulk ZnO

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 2021
Material formation mechanisms and their selective realization must be well understood for the development of new materials for advanced technologies. Since nanomaterials demonstrate higher specific surface energies compared to their corresponding bulk materials, the homoepitaxial growth of nanomaterials on bulk materials is not thermodynamically ...

Structural change of Cu/ZnO by reduction of ZnO in Cu/ZnO with methanol

Catalysis Letters, 2000
The reducibility of ZnO was investigated in the temperature range of 523–623 K in a stream of a reducing agent such as H2, CO, and methanol. ZnO was reduced only in the presence of copper in the vicinity of ZnO with CO and methanol, but it was not reduced with H2.

Solar paint of ZnO/CdS and ZnO/CdSe based on commercial ZnO

Functional Materials Letters, 2016
We report a facile and cheap route to the fabrication of ZnO/CdS and ZnO/CdSe based on commercial ZnO particles. The obtained product can be directly brush printed as solar paint. The results show that the solar cell based on the mixture of ZnO/CdS and ZnO/CdSe have a better light absorption and electron transport ability, and a high power conversion ...

Adsorption of ZnO, (ZnO)2 and (ZnO)3 on MgO(001)

Surface Science, 2008
Abstract We have investigated the adsorption of ZnO, atomic Zn, atomic O and (ZnO) n on the flat MgO(0 0 1) surface by means of density functional calculations. A single ZnO molecule prefers to bind in a position parallel to the surface with the zinc atom above a surface oxygen atom and the oxygen above a magnesium atom.

Xanthine sensor development based on ZnO–CNT, ZnO–CB, ZnO–GO and ZnO nanoparticles: an electrochemical approach

New Journal of Chemistry, 2017
The wet-chemical method was used to prepare the various ZnO–CNT, ZnO–CB, ZnO–GO nanocomposites, and ZnO nanoparticles in higher pH medium, which were finally utilized with 5% nafion to produce a thin film of NCs/Nafion/GCE sensor that has a faster response towards selected xanthine with higher sensitivity, lower detection limit, and large linear ...

THz Study on the Role of ZnO Crystallinity in ZnO/AgNW/ZnO Composite Electrodes

IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, 2017
We present the conducting mechanism of silver nanowire (AgNW) networks embedded between zinc oxide (ZnO) bilayers studied by terahertz (THz) reflection spectroscopy. Percolatively connected AgNWs have been considered as one of the most promising alternatives for indium-tin-oxide transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs).

The formation and characteristics of ZnO/AlN and ZnO/AlN/ZnO core-shell nanowires

Integrated Ferroelectrics, 2016
ABSTRACTIn this work, we fabricate the p-type ZnO/AlN/ZnO core-shell nanowire arrays on Al2O3 substrate. The SEM images show the core-shell structure and the connection phenomenon appeared during the deposition process. The XRD results show a better crystal quality after annealing.

Effectively enhanced the haze of ZnO thin-film by ZnO and ZnO hollow nanoparticles

2010 3rd International Nanoelectronics Conference (INEC), 2010
We present a novel structure of the ZnO thin-film with high haze value. The Thin-film was composed by appropriate amount of ZnO nanoparticle, ZnO hollow nanoparticle and ZnO sol-gel annealed at 500 °C for 1h. Therefore, the ZnO and ZnO hollow nanoparticle can be well-bounded in the ZnO thin-film. In this experiment, the haze of novel ZnO thin films are

Electrophoretic Deposition of ZnO

Key Engineering Materials, 2004
Electrophoretic phonemenon is applied in different parts of science. Electrophoretic Deposition (EPD) is effective, fast and controllable process for obtaining various thin or thick film layers. In this study application of EPD to functional ceramics especially for sensors is aimed.
