Elastic deformation in ceria nanorods via a fluorite-to-rutile phase transition [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Atomistic simulations reveal that ceria nanorods, under uniaxial tension, can accommodate over 6% elastic deformation. Moreover, a reversible fluorite-to- rutile phase change occurs above 6% strain for a ceria nanorod that extends along [110]. We also

Photonic‐Enabled Energy‐Efficient Transparent Neuromorphic Computing Devices: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Transparent photonic neuromorphic computing devices merge optics and brain‐inspired computing to overcome von Neumann bottlenecks with ultrafast, low‐energy processing. By exploiting transparent oxides, 2D materials, phase‐change materials, and hybrid heterostructures, these platforms enable photonic synapses, memory, and logic for see‐through edge ...

Ag Nanowire‐Integrated MoS2/ZnO Heterojunctions for Highly Efficient Photogenerated Charge Transfer

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 6, May 2025.
A versatile strategy is reported for fabricating multi‐dimensional heterojunctions with significantly improved charge transfer capability. By integrating Ag nanowires with a MoS2/ZnO heterojunction, a fourfold increase in surface photovoltage is achieved, reaching 200 mV under visible light illumination.

A Novel Way for Synthesizing Phosphorus-Doped Zno Nanowires

open access: yesNanoscale Research Letters, 2011
We developed a novel approach to synthesize phosphorus (P)-doped ZnO nanowires by directly decomposing zinc phosphate powder. The samples were demonstrated to be P-doped ZnO nanowires by using scanning electron microscopy, high-resolution transmission ...

Size-controlled, high optical quality ZnO nanowires grown using colloidal Au nanoparticles and ultra-small cluster catalysts

open access: yesAPL Materials, 2019
Size-controlled ZnO nanowires were grown by eclipse pulsed laser deposition using Au colloids and ultra-small (sub 2 nm) Au101 and Au9 clusters as catalysts, tethered to c-plane sapphire substrates using aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APTMS).

Advancing Fruit Bioimpedance Monitoring With Sustainable, Soft, And Bio‐Based Electrodes Beyond ECG

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Electrical impedance spectroscopy enables non‐destructive fruit quality monitoring, but conventional ECG and needle electrodes compromise signal stability, fruit physiology, and sustainability. This perspective highlights the transition toward soft, biocompatible, and biodegradable electrode interfaces based on natural substrates, bio‐derived ...
