Nanostructural and optical properties of hierarchical ZnO grown via hydrothermal method [PDF]
A simple hydrothermal method was employed to synthesize 3D hierarchical ZnO nanorods deposited on Si (100) substrate at different growth temperatures (110 and 90oC) within 3 h.

INTRINSIC DEFECTS IN ZnO VARISTOR CERAMICS
The relationship between dielectric loss factor D (tanδ) and frequency for ZnO-Sb2O3-BaO and ZnO-Bi2O3-Sb2O3-BaO varistor ceramics has been investigated. A new dielectric loss peak was found near by 2MHz at room temperature for the sample in the absence of Bi2O3, the corresponding electron trapping level was about 0.18 eV, it was considered that the ...

Mnemonic Rutile–Rutile Interfaces Triggering Spontaneous Dissociation of Water
Surface mineral–water interactions are decisive for any photocatalytic process. In this work, fibrous rutile homoepitaxially grown on twinned rutile seeds with a specific interface structure that displays the ability to spontaneously dissociate water are investigated.

Optical property and Stokes' shift of Zn
Ternary Zn1-x Cdx O films were grown on (0001) sapphire substrates by pulsed laser deposition. The energy band gap of Zn1-x Cdx O films decreases with increasing Cd content. An increase of Cd content also leads to the emission broadening, absorption edge

Tunneling Currents in Zinc Oxide [PDF]
An examination of the current-voltage characteristics of gold and palladium surface barriers on degenerate zinc oxide has been made. Both chemically prepared and cleaved surfaces were studied. The current conduction mode is shown to be thermionic-field

Influence Mechanism of Micro Grain-boundary Parameters to the Electrical Properties of ZnO Varistor
ZnO varistors exhibit excellent nonlinear voltage–current characteristics and substantial energy capacity, enabling them to absorb impulse energy during power system overvoltages and thus protect the electrical equipment.

Electronic structure of the muonium center as a shallow donor in ZnO
The electronic structure and the location of muonium centers (Mu) in single-crystalline ZnO were determined for the first time. Two species of Mu centers with extremely small hyperfine parameters have been observed below 40 K.

Dielectric spectra of ZnO varistor ceramics
In this paper, the dielectric spectra of ZnO varistor ceramics are measured by Novocontrol wide band dielectric spectrometer in a temperature range of -160℃-200℃ and frequency range of 0.1 Hz-0.1 MHz. It is found that electron transportation can be characterized by the flat region on a low frequency side of σ'-f curve.
