Aromatic emission from the ionised mane of the Horsehead nebula [PDF]
We study the evolution of the Aromatic Infrared Bands (AIBs) emitters across the illuminated edge of the Horsehead nebula and especially their survival and properties in the HII region.

Art as a Channel and Embodiment of Symbolic Interaction Between Migrants and Non‐Migrants
Many non‐migrant politicians, journalists, and scholars in migrant‐destination societies often represent migrants with self‐interested objectives and in specific instrumental ways based on stereotypes. Yet research on symbolic interaction reveals migrants are not passive victims.

SKYSURF-11: A New Zodiacal Light Model Optimized for Optical Wavelengths
We present an improved zodiacal light model, optimized for optical wavelengths, using archival Hubble Space Telescope (HST) imaging from the SKYSURF program. The T. Kelsall et al.

GALEX Observations of Diffuse UV Radiation at High Spatial Resolution from the Sandage Nebulosity
Using the GALEX ultraviolet imagers we have observed a region of nebulosity first identified as starlight scattered by interstellar dust by Sandage (1976). Apart from airglow and zodiacal emission, we have found a diffuse UV background of between 500 and

Camera‐traps and the city: Spatiotemporal adaptations of wildlife to urban environments
Urbanisation may deeply alter wildlife behaviour and predator–prey dynamics by driving spatiotemporal adaptations to human activity and environmental features. Year‐round camera‐trap surveys in Firenze, Central Italy, revealed increased nocturnality, strong predator–prey temporal overlap at night and biodiversity patterns shaped by artificial light ...

The Chelyabinsk meteor entered Earth’s atmosphere on 15 February 2013, producing a shock wave that injured about 1500 people and damaged thousands of buildings. Despite its relatively large size (∼20 m), the progenitor asteroid approached Earth undetected. Its apparent radiant was too close to the Sun for standard ground‐based near‐Earth asteroid (NEA)

Modeling the Infrared Emission from the HR 4796A Disk [PDF]
We model the spectral energy distribution (SED) from the mid-infrared to submillimeter of the ring-like disk of HR 4796A, the dustiest A-type star. We consider dust made either of coagulated but otherwise unaltered protostellar interstellar grains, or ...

Global 24 solar terms phenological MODIS normalized difference vegetation index dataset in 2001–2022
This study generated a global Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) product based on the 24 solar terms (24STs) using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on the Google Earth Engine (GEE). The 24STs NDVI dataset adopted the maximum value compositing (MVC) to process the NDVI values between two adjacent 24STs.
