New measurements of the cosmic infrared background fluctuations in deep Spitzer/IRAC survey data and their cosmological implications [PDF]
We extend previous measurements of cosmic infrared background (CIB) fluctuations to ~ 1 deg using new data from the Spitzer Extended Deep Survey. Two fields, with depths of ~12 hr/pixel over 3 epochs, are analyzed at 3.6 and 4.5 mic.

Abstract Many core human activities require an understanding of time. To coordinate rituals, plan harvests and hunts, recall histories, keep appointments, and follow recipes, we need to grapple with invisible temporal structures like durations, sequences, and cycles. No other species seems to do this.

The study aims to compare the effects of denosumab and bazedoxifene on spinal instrumentation surgery. CT scans obtained before and after treatment were used to generate 3D vertebral models for in silico biomechanical analysis, and mechanical loading directions—including compression and multidirectional screw forces—were applied to assess implant ...

DIRBE Minus 2MASS: Confirming the CIRB in 40 New Regions at 2.2 and 3.5 Microns
With the release of the 2MASS All-Sky Point Source Catalog, stellar fluxes from 2MASS are used to remove the contribution due to Galactic stars from the intensity measured by DIRBE in 40 new regions in the North and South Galactic polar caps.

Abstract Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and cause pain. Methotrexate is widely used to control disease progression, but its effects on pain mechanisms are not fully understood. This study evaluated the antinociceptive effects of methotrexate on pain behavior, Wnt/β‐catenin pathway ...

ABSTRACT Understanding postglacial ontogeny in Arctic lakes helps contextualize modern‐day climatic change. We used sediment cores to characterize ecological succession in three south‐central Baffin Island lakes from deglaciation (c. 7–8k cal a BP) to present.
