SPITTING TYPE SEED DISPERSAL BY DOMESTIC GOAT IN THE ZOOCHORIAL PROCESS OF BLACKTHORN PLUM

2021
The blackthorn plum, Prunus spinosa L., has fruits with a stony endocarp. It is known that the germination of the Prunus species is long-lasting and challenging. Endozoochory, which is seed dispersal via ingestion by vertebrate animals, has been reported to break the dormancy in many plant species.

Woody vegetation in Atlantic Forest inselbergs: floristic similarity, patterns of richness, pollination/dispersal syndromes, and influence of climatic variables

Biota Neotropica
Forest ecosystems established on developed soils occupy the most significant territorial extension in the Atlantic Forest and are historically the most studied environments in this domain. However, woody vegetation on granitoid rock outcrops (inselbergs)

Evolutionary history and the global distribution of seed dispersal modes in angiosperms

New Phytologist
Seed dispersal modes play a crucial role in angiosperm migration, adaptation, and responses to climate change, yet their global spatiotemporal patterns and underlying drivers remain largely unexplored. Here, using a global dataset on seed dispersal modes

Multi-scale drivers of spontaneous plant diversity in urban residential green spaces across dispersal modes: Implications for ecological planning.

Journal of Environmental Management
Residential green spaces (RGSs) are ubiquitous elements of the urban fabric and can function as low-maintenance, nature-based solutions that reconnect fragmented habitats and deliver ecosystem services.
