Age- and Diet-Dependent Changes in Hepatic Lipidomic Profiles of Phospholipids in Male Mice: Age Acceleration in Cyp2b-Null Mice. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Lipids, 2022
Increases in traditional serum lipid profiles are associated with obesity, cancer, and cardiovascular disease. Recent lipidomic analysis has indicated changes in serum lipidome profiles, especially in regard to specific phosphatidylcholines, associated with obesity. However, little work has evaluated murine hepatic liver lipidomic profiles nor compared

Hepatoprotective Plants from Bangladesh: A Biophytochemical Review and Future Prospect

open access: yesEvidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
Liver diseases are quite prevalant in many densely populated countries, including Bangladesh. The liver and its hepatocytes are targeted by virus and microbes, as well as by chemical environmental toxicants, causing wide‐spread disruption of metabolic fuctions of the human body, leading to death from end‐stage liver diseases.

DABCO Catalyzed Synthesis of Xanthene Derivatives in Aqueous Media

open access: yesInternational Scholarly Research Notices, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
The reaction of 5,5‐dimethylcyclohexane‐1,3‐dione with various heteroarylaldehydes afforded the corresponding heteroaryl substituted xanthene derivatives 1(a–f). The reaction proceeds via the initial Knoevenagel, subsequent Michael, and final heterocyclization reactions using 1,4‐diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane (DABCO) as a catalyst in aqueous media.

Novel ZrOCl2·8H2O‐Catalysed One‐Pot Multicomponent Synthesis of 9,10‐Dihydro‐8H‐benzo[a]xanthen‐11(12H)‐one Derivatives

open access: yesOrganic Chemistry International, Volume 2013, Issue 1, 2013., 2013
A simple and efficient protocol for the synthesis of highly substituted xanthenes is developed through the condensation of β‐naphthol, aldehydes, and cyclic 5,5‐dimethylcyclohexane‐1,3‐dione with zirconium oxychloride octahydrate as a catalyst via multicomponent condensation strategy.
