Zr/Mg, Zr/Sr and Zr/Zn co-doped hydroxyapatites: Synthesis and characterization
Ceramics International, 2016Abstract Zr/Mg, Zr/Sr and Zr/Zn co-doped hydroxyapatite samples, having high crystallinity, prepared by sol–gel synthesis were characterized via X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) spectroscopy. Based on the XRD results, it is shown that the kind

High Temperature Material Processes An International Quarterly of High-Technology Plasma Processes
The properties of Zr-ZrN, Zr,Hf-(Zr,Hf)N and Zr,Nb-(Zr,Nb)N coatings deposited on a Ti6Al-4V titanium alloy substrate were studied. It has been established that the introduction of hafnium increases, and niobium reduces the hardness of the coating. The introduction of hafnium also increases, and niobium reduces, the value of the critical fracture load ...

Low-Temperature Specific Heats of Zr-Ti, Zr-Hf, and Zr-Sc Alloys
Physical Review, 1968The specific heats of hexagonal Zr-Ti, Zr-Hf, and Zr-Sc alloys were measured at 1.1 to 4.2\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}K. Maxima in both the electronic specific-heat coefficient $\ensuremath{\gamma}$ and the superconducting transition temperature ${T}_{c}$ were observed at 60 at.% Ti in the Zr-Ti system.

On the Stability and Structure of Zr-Cu and Zr-Ti-Cu Alloys
Solid State Phenomena, 1998The alloys Zr-Cu-Ti and Zr-Cu have been prepared by melt-spinning and mechanical alloying techniques. Their thermal behaviour and structure factors have been investigated. Thermal properties obtained by differential scanning calorimetry, of an amorphous alloy (54Zr34Cu10Ti), were tested in argon and nitrogen atmospheres.

Contribution to the Zr-rich part of the Zn-Zr phase diagram
Journal of Phase Equilibria and Diffusion, 2004The reaction of zinc vapor with Zircaloy-4 and nuclear grade zirconium was investigated with various analytical techniques: optical metallography, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Based on the results, the Zr-rich part of the Zn-Zr phase diagram was revised. A eutectoid decomposition of (βZr) occurs at 718±

Diffusion and chemical activity of Zr-Sn and Zr-Ti systems
Physical Review B, 1986A modified evaporation method was used to determine the diffusion coefficients and the emission rates of Sn and Ti in Zr-Sn and Zr-Ti, respectively, at temperatures between 1605 and 1970 K. Results show that both Sn and Ti diffuse in their respective alloys via a vacancy mechanism.

Fundamental Study on the Corrosion Mechanism of Zr-0.2Fe, Zr-0.2Cr, and Zr-0.1Fe-0.1Cr Alloys
2000Corrosion and hydrogen pickup properties were investigated on sheet materials of pure Zr, Zr-0.2 wt%Fe, Zr-0.2 wt%Cr, and Zr-0.1 wt%Fe-0.1 wt%Cr which were given an intermediate anneal of 853 K or 1003 K, and a final anneal at 853 K. To clarify the substantial effects of iron and chromium, impurities were minimized by using crystal bar zirconium and ...
