Mg-Zr-Sr alloys as biodegradable implant materials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Novel Mg–Zr–Sr alloys have recently been developed for use as biodegradable implant materials. The Mg–Zr–Sr alloys were prepared by diluting Mg–Zr and Mg–Sr master alloys with pure Mg.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

DNS in evolution of vorticity and sign relationship in wake transition of a circular cylinder: (pure) mode A [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
In the present paper, the spatio-temporal evolution of vorticity in the first wake instability, i.e., (pure) mode A, is investigated in order to understand the wake vortex dynamics and sign relationships among vorticity components.

Zr-Catalyzed Olefin Alkylations and Allylic Substitution Reactions with Electrophiles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Disubstituted aryl olefins undergo efficient alkylations in the presence of 5 mol % Cp2ZrCl2, n-BuMgCl, and alkyl tosylates or alkyl bromides. In one class of reactions (Table ), the resulting alkyl zirconocene (initial alkylation product) undergoes β ...
