Stress Distribution on Bone Due to Dental Implant

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacy and Bioallied Sciences
Background: The distribution of stress (DS) in the bone around dental implant (DI) during loading is associated with success. In contrast, upon loosening of DI because of high stress, leads to its failure.

Effect of Zr on microstructure and properties of TC4 alloy fabricated by laser additive manufacturing

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2023
In this paper, the effect of Zr on the microstructure of laser additive manufactured Ti–6Al–4V (TC4) alloy is studied by adding different contents of Zr (0%, 15%, 30%, 45%), and the mechanisms of strengthening and corrosion passivation are also discussed.

Synthesis and Structural Characterization of U-Zr-Nb Alloys

open access: yes, 2017
U-xZr-yNb alloys with values of x varying from 32% to 50% (wt.%Zr) and y varying from 6% to 10% (wt.%Nb) were produced by the arc melting technique. The effect of the addiction of zirconium and niobium on the phase stabilization of γ-U, lattice parameter,

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

The influence of mixed thickeners on printing over lyocell knitted fabric

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
A quest was carried out to print on light weight lyocell knitted fabric with two mono-functional reactive dyes using pure guar gum (GG) or substituted guar gum (SGG) in combination with sodium alginate (Al) at different ratios.

Homochiral BINAPDA-Zr-MOF for Heterogeneous Asymmetric Cyanosilylation of Aldehydes

open access: yes, 2019
A new homochiral BINAPDA-Zr-MOF was prepared by a new chiral organic linker of (R)-4,4′-(6,6′-dichloro-2,2′-diethoxyl-[1,1′-binaphthalene]-4,4′-diyl)dibenzoic acid (R-L) and ZrCl4 under solvothermal conditions.

Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

Zr-Doped NiO Nanoparticles for Low-Temperature Methane Combustion

open access: yes, 2021
The development of efficient and stable non-noble metal-based catalysts for low-temperature methane combustion is extremely important and still a profound challenge. Herein, high-performance Ni1–xZrxO2−δ solid solution nanocatalysts were prepared through

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.
