Effect of ZrO2 nanocrystals on the stabilization of the amorphous state of alumina and silica in the ZrO2-Al2O3 and ZrO2-SiO2 systems

Structural and chemical transformations in the ZrO2-Al2O3 and ZrO2-SiO2 systems containing ZrO2 nanocrystals are examined. It is shown that the presence of zirconia nanoparticles in the oxide mixture retards the processes of crystallization and phase formation.
