Phosphorus-modified b-axis oriented hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolites for enhancing catalytic performance in a methanol to propylene reaction

, 2020
In this work, a b-axis oriented hierarchical ZSM-5 zeolite was prepared with glucose as an additive and further modified by phosphorus to improve the propylene selectivity and prolong the lifetime of the catalyst in a methanol to propylene (MTP) reaction.

The adsorption of carbon monoxide on H-ZSM-5 and hydrothermally treated H-ZSM-5

Microporous Materials, 1996
Abstract The adsorption of CO was studied on the H-form and hydrothermally treated H-form of ZSM-5 by in situ FTIR spectroscopy. As seen in other studies the interaction of Bronsted acid sites with the CO molecules shifted the bridging Si(OH)Al stretching frequency from 3616 cm−1 down to 3310 cm−1.

Mesoporous ZSM-5 synthesized by simultaneous mesostructuring and crystallization of ZSM-5 nuclei

2006
ZSM-5 nuclei were prepared by ageing synthesis gels at 60 °C. A cationic surfactant was added to these seeding gels, which were subsequently crystallized at 120 or 150 °C. The obtained ZSM-5 zeolites possess mesopores similar to MCM-41 and their crystallinities increased with the increase of the crystallisation temperature and decreased with the ...

Argon Sorption in ZSM-5

Journal of Catalysis, 1993
Abstract A new physisorption device collects accurate isotherm data at low pressures and low adsorptions. Thus, physisorption isotherms of microporous materials can he determined in fine detail in the region where the first sorbing atoms enter the unit cell of the solid. For argon phvsisorption in ZSM-5 at 87 K, a complex isotherm is observed.

Waste control by waste: Fenton-like oxidation of phenol over Cu modified ZSM-5 from coal gangue.

Science of the Total Environment, 2019
Coal gangue and phenol are two main pollutants in coal mining and processing. Using coal gangue as raw material, a series of Cu modified ZSM-5 (Cu/ZSM-5) catalysts were developed to remove phenol through heterogeneous Fenton-like reaction. This procedure

On the sorption of ethylbenzene in ZSM-5

1997
Gas phase adsorption of ethylbenzene in H-ZSM-5 was examined with a constant volume-variable pressure apparatus varying both temperature and sorbate concentration. In the observed temperature and concentration range sorption isotherms are of type I according to IUPAC classification. They are well described by Langmuir-Freundlich-equations.

Activation of ZSM-5 catalysts

Journal of Catalysis, 1980
Greatly increased yields of aromatics were obtainied in the reaction of ethanol over ZSM-5 zeolites if the protonated catalyst was pretreated in aqueous mineral acids or if hydrogen choloride or dichloroethane was added to the feed. The treated catalysts apparently contained less sodium than the ammonium-exchanged catalysts, and in some cases, some ...
