Adsorption of water on ZSM-5 zeolites
Thermochimica Acta, 1995The non-isothermal desorption of water adsorbed on ZSM-5 zeolites at room temperature shows, depending on the cation type (H+, Na+), differently structured desorption curves. A kinetic analysis based on various methods shows that the course of desorption is well described by a first order rate equation considering a distribution function for the ...

Adsorption of Methanol on ZSM-5 Zeolites
Langmuir, 1997The interaction of methanol with a NaZSM-5 and a HZSM-5 zeolite was investigated by means of temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) and adsorption measurements. For both zeolites the desorption curves are structured, indicating different adsorption sites.

Crystallization kinetics of zeolite ZSM-5
Zeolites, 1992Abstract Zeolite ZSM-5 was synthesized from aluminosilicate gels in the presence of organic templates — tetrapropylammonium bromide (TPABr) and pyrrolidine (Py) — at temperatures of 423, 438 and 453 K. Nucleation and crystallization processes were subjected to a detailed kinetic analysis.

Diffusion of cyclohexanes in ZSM-5 zeolites
Journal of Catalysis, 1988Abstract Diffusion coefficients have been measured for the diffusion of cyclohexane and alkylcyclohexanes ranging from methyl- to pentylcyclohexane in ZSM-5-type zeolites using the samples of flat plate-like crystallite. The uptake curves of Cyclohexanes by these samples are considered to represent primarily the diffusion of Cyclohexanes into the ...

Microfabricated ZSM-5 zeolite micromembranes
Chemical Engineering Science, 2004Abstract Free-standing microfabricated (MFI) zeolite micromembranes were successfully fabricated on a silicon substrate. Three zeolites including Sil-1, ZSM-5 ( Si / Al = 60 ) and ZSM-5 ( Si / Al = 40 ) were prepared. The zeolite micromembrane units were tested for gas permeation and separation. The micromembranes displayed an

Studies on the ZSM—5 zeolite formation
Zeolites, 1984Abstract The crystallization of ZSM—5 zeolite, from a 3.6 Na 2 O, 6.6 TPA-Br, 1 Al 2 O 3 , 24.0 SiO 2 , 180 H 2 O system at 120°C, proceeds through various steps which have been followed by many techniques. The results suggest that a Silicalite-like zeolite initially crystallizes quickly and thereafter the aluminum enters the structure probably ...

Aromatization of propene on ZSM-5 zeolites
Reaction Kinetics & Catalysis Letters, 1990Cu-ZSM-5, CuZn-ZSM-5 and H-ZSM-5 have been studied for propene aromatization at comparable conditions. It was established that all samples are active for aromatization (yields ⋟50%) and demonstrate high selectivity for benzene, toluene and xylenes formation (⋟ 90%). The role of acid centers in all stage of the aromatization is discussed.

Interaction of ZnO with ZSM-5 Zeolites
Collection of Czechoslovak Chemical Communications, 2000The possibility of introduction of zinc from ZnO into cationic positions of H- and NH4-ZSM-5 zeolites by solid-state ion exchange was investigated. It was concluded that during thermal pretreatment of a mechanical mixture of ZnO with acid forms of ZSM-5 zeolite, introduction of Zn species into cationic positions as a consequence of the proposed solid ...

Hydrophobic natures of zeolite ZSM-5
Zeolites, 1982The adsorption of water, methanol, benzene, and n-hexane on a series of HZSM-5, in which SiO2/Al2O3 ratio was varied from about 50 to 900, were measured at 100°C, and their hydrophobic natures were examined. HZSM-5 preferred the less polar compound as n-hexane to other polar compounds such as water and methanol and the order of amounts adsorbed in the ...
