ABSTRACT Fungal endophthalmitis is an uncommon complication of intraocular surgery. We report, to our knowledge, the first case of a postoperative Zygomycetes endophthalmitis that occurred after uncomplicated phacoemulsification and the insertion of a posterior chamber intraocular lens.
