Saponins from Zygophyllum propinquum
Phytochemistry, 1990Two new triterpenoid saponins zygophylosides D and E have been isolated from Zygophyllum propinquum. Their structures were elucidated as 3-O-[β-d-2-O-sulphonylquinovopyranosyl]-quinovic acid and 3-O-[β-d-2-O-sulphonylquinovopyranosyl]-quinovic acid-28-O-[β-d-glucopyranosyl]ester, respectively, by spectral and chemical studies.
