Synthesis of activity evaluation of flavonoid derivatives as ɑ-glucosidase inhibitors

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2022
Six flavonoid derivatives were synthesized and tested for anti-α-glucosidase activities. All derivatives were confirmed using NMR and HRMS and exhibited excellent inhibitory effects on α-glucosidase.

Enhanced enzymatic activity and stability by in situ entrapment of α-Glucosidase within super porous p(HEMA) cryogels during synthesis

open access: yesBiotechnology Reports, 2020
Here, poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (p(HEMA)) cryogel were prepared in the presence 0.48, 0.96, and 1.92 mL of α-Glucosidase enzyme (0.06 Units/mL) solutions to obtain enzyme entrapped superporous p(HEMA) cryogels, donated as α-Glucosidase@p(HEMA)-1,

Purification and characterization of two extracellular β-glucosidases fromAspergillus nidulans [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Microbiology Letters, 1992
Two β-glucosidases, P-I and P-II, were purified from the culture filtrate of Aspergillus nidulans. The Mr values of P-I and P-II were about 125 000 and 50 000, respectively. The isoelectric point, optimal pH and temperature, Michaelis constants for several substrates and inhibition constants for glucose and glucono-δ-lactone of each enzyme were ...

Dietary Polyphenols as Natural Inhibitors of α-Amylase and α-Glucosidase

open access: yesLife, 2022
It is well known that carbohydrates are the main source of calories in most diets. However, by inhibiting carbohydrases, intake of calories is reduced and weight loss is improved.

Synthesis and bioactivities evaluation of oleanolic acid oxime ester derivatives as α-glucosidase and α-amylase inhibitors

open access: yesJournal of Enzyme Inhibition and Medicinal Chemistry, 2022
Different oleanolic acid (OA) oxime ester derivatives (3a-3t) were designed and synthesised to develop inhibitors against α-glucosidase and α-amylase. All the synthesised OA derivatives were evaluated against α-glucosidase and α-amylase in vitro.

Inhibitory Mechanism of Engeletin Against α-Glucosidase

open access: yesNatural Product Communications, 2021
The inhibitory mechanism of engeletin against α-glucosidase was investigated for the first time by fluorescence spectroscopy and molecular docking. The results showed that engeletin could inhibit α-glucosidase in a noncompetitive inhibition mode with a ...

Extracellular α-glucosidase of an alkalophilic microorganism,Bacillussp. ATCC 21591 [PDF]

open access: yesFEMS Microbiology Letters, 1983
Bacillus sp. ATCC 21591, an alkalophilic bacterium, produces 3 enzymes associated with degradation of starch-α-amylase, pullulanase and α-glucosidase. The latter reached a maximum after 24 h growth. Highest activities of α-glucosidase and pullulanase were obtained when the initial pH of the medium was 9.7 and although at pH 10.4 highest biomass was ...

Understanding phenolic acids inhibition of α-amylase and α-glucosidase and influence of reaction conditions.

open access: yesFood Chemistry, 2021
Phenolic acids are involved in modulating the activity of starch digestive enzymes but remains unclear if their interaction with enzymes or starch is governing the inhibition.

Inhibition activity of α-glucosidase by infusion and ethanol extract of white tea and stevia combination [PDF]

open access: yesJurnal Sains Teh dan Kina, 2017
Ethanol extract of white tea and its stevia liquor was observed for α-glukosidase inhibition. The research was divided into some steps;  white tea and stevia combination hedonic sensory test, phytochemical identification, and α-glucosidase inhibition activity.
