Nanobiocatalysts: Potential Applications in Biofuel Production and Biotransformation

open access: yesCarbon Neutralization, Volume 5, Issue 3, May 2026.
The application of nanobiocatalysts in the field of biofuel production and the biotransformation of substrate were reviewed. Further, the possible research gaps in the field of biofuel and value‐added compound production and a possible way to enhance the application of nanobiocatalyst in future development are highlighted.

Endogenous Recovery of Fasting C‐Peptide Decreases Progression of Sudomotor Small‐Fibre Dysfunction in Adults With Diabetes: A Real‐World Cohort Study

open access: yesDiabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews, Volume 42, Issue 4, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Aims To determine whether recovery of fasting C‐peptide (ΔFCP) reduces deterioration in sudomotor small‐fibre function, whether a threshold exists, and whether associations are complication‐specific. Methods Retrospective real‐world cohort of 288 hospitalised adults with diabetes with repeated fasting C‐peptide and Sudoscan electrochemical ...

Haemoglobin A1c Time‐In‐Range and Mortality in Adults With Diabetes

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Reduced A1c time in range and particularly greater time below range are associated with increased mortality in adults with diabetes. A1c stability within person‐specific ranges may be a risk predictor for major outcomes in adults with diabetes. ABSTRACT Introduction Glycemic variability over time is a risk factor for diabetes complications.

The Effect of Integrated Lifestyle Intervention Incorporating Calorie‐Carbohydrate Restriction With or Without Time‐Restricted Feeding for Remission of Type 2 Diabetes (DIREM): A Single Blind Randomised Controlled Trial

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Diabetes remission is possible through weight loss. Behavioural lifestyle program is effective to achieve diabetes remission. ABSTRACT Aims We conducted the diet and diabetes remission (DIREM) study to assess whether an integrated lifestyle intervention would lead to achieving remission in type 2 diabetes.

A Multicentre, Prospective, Non‐Interventional Single‐Arm Study Investigating the Impact of Once‐Daily Oral Semaglutide in a Real‐World Adult Population With Type 2 Diabetes in Mexico

open access: yesEndocrinology, Diabetes &Metabolism, Volume 9, Issue 3, May 2026.
Initiation of oral semaglutide in patients with T2D in routine clinical practice in Mexico significantly reduces HbA1c and weight and improves satisfaction with treatment. ABSTRACT Background To investigate the oral semaglutide use among Mexican adults with type 2 diabetes.
