β-Alanine Enhances Brain and Muscle Carnosine Levels in Broiler Chicks
Carnosine and its methylated derivative anserine are dipeptides present in high levels in chicken muscles. They are antioxidants and putative neurotransmitters. If administration of β-alanine, one of the constituents of carnosine, could increase levels

Conformations of N,N-diethyl-β-alanine and β-alanine as a function of solvent
Conformational equilibria of N,N-diethyl-β-alanine were estimated from vicinal proton–proton coupling constants between the —CH_2—CH_2—group in protic and aprotic solvents of different polarities.

Conductometric and Spectrophotometric Study of Thallium (I) Complexes of α-Alanine and β-Alanine
Spectrophotometric and conductometric measurements reveal that thallium(l) forms 1 : 1 complex with α-alanine and β-alanine. The dissociation constants of these complexes, applying Job's method to conductance and optical density, are calculated to be ...

Probiotic B.p colonization elevated gut‐derived inosine level in the liver, while elevated inosine activated A2AR and subsequently blocked NPs‐induced polarization of M1 macrophages by repressing the miR155/SOCS1/NF‐κB pathway. This reduced the release of inflammatory cytokines and thereby, mitigated NPs‐induced hepatic injury.

Effect of β-alanine treatment on mitochondrial taurine level and 5-taurinomethyluridine content
Background The β-amino acid, taurine, is a nutritional requirement in some species. In these species, the depletion of intracellular stores of taurine leads to the development of severe organ dysfunction.

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

Integrative multi‐omics analysis delineates a mitochondrial–immune axis governing neoadjuvant chemotherapy response in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer. Immune‐active tumors exhibit enhanced B‐cell infiltration and favorable sensitivity, whereas metabolically rewired tumors display oxidative phosphorylation dependency and resistance.
