Precision Lignocellulosic Biorefinery: Process Regulation From Corn Stover to Products
This study presents a precision biorefinery framework that transforms corn stover into high‐value bioproducts through whole‐process regulation. Mechanical fractionation separates feedstock into parenchyma‐rich short fibers and vascular‐bundle‐dominant long fibers.

We introduce a new membrane‐active antifungal design, Gua‐SMACS‐16, that exhibits high potency and single‐species selectivity for C. tropicalis while sparing other close species in the Candida genus. Moreover, when combining with caspofungin, a clinical antifungal drug inhibiting 1,3‐β‐glucan synthase, they exhibit ultra‐strong synergy across a panel ...

Metabolism and function of β-1,3-glucan in marine diatoms [PDF]
β-1,3-Glucan (chrysolaminaran) is the principal storage polysaccharide in diatoms (Bacillariophyceae), the major primary producers in the sea. The glucan generally contributes a substantial fraction of the algal biomass, but its level varies markedly in ...

Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris) secretes a number of small, highly-related, disulfide-rich proteins (Sp-AMPs) in response to challenges with fungal pathogens such as Heterobasidion annosum, although their biological role has been unknown. Here, we examined the expression patterns of these genes, as well as the structure and function of the encoded ...

A study of anti-β-glucan antibody in human serum
P(論文)In this study, we found that anti-β-glucan IgG antibodies were present in sera from the peripheral blood (PB) of normal adult donors and the umbilical cord blood (UCB) of neonates using a novel enzyme-linked immunoassay (EIA) developed in our ...
