Indole‐3‐Acetic Acid Protects Bovine Hepatocytes Against Palmitic Acid‐Induced Lipid Accumulation and ER Stress Through SIRT3

Cows with ketosis during the perinatal period often experience damage to the liver, a core metabolic organ, thereby exacerbating the disease's inherent vicious cycle. This study indicates that serum 3‐IAA concentrations were reduced in ketotic cows and show a significant negative correlation with hepatic TG content.

A near‐infrared (NIR) light‐activated “lock‐key” nanodevice is reported for spatiotemporally resolved detection of intratumoral L‐lactate. The system stays silent until deep‐penetrating NIR light remotely unlocks its function, allowing for precise sensing within tumors.

Abstract Hypoxaemia occurs in intermittent forms, such as obstructive sleep apnoea, and in continuous forms, such as at high altitude, and is increasingly recognized as a modulator of cardiometabolic risk. Although hypoxaemia alters postprandial glucose and lipid metabolism, its effects on ketone bodies remain unclear.

Production of Poly-α-hydroxybutyrate (PHB) from Sago Starch by The Native Isolate Bacillus megaterium PSA10

A new bacterial strain that produces amylase and poly-α-hidroxybutyrate (PHB) using sago starch as carbon source was characterized and identified to be member of the Bacillus megaterium group based on phenotypic characteristics and 16S rDNA gene sequences.
