From regulatory mechanisms to cutting‐edge applications: Research progress of ultrasound, electrical, magnetic, and optical stimulation in neural modulation

open access: yesJournal of Intelligent Medicine, EarlyView.
Abstract In recent years, the clinical treatment and symptom management of neurological disorders have faced significant challenges due to the high complexity of the nervous system's structure and function. Against this backdrop, physical stimulation techniques have emerged as a vital complementary approach to traditional pharmacological treatments and

A Green Amphoteric Surfactant Derived From Rapeseed Oil for Enhanced Oil Recovery From Carbonate Acidic Oil Reservoirs

open access: yesJournal of Surfactants and Detergents, EarlyView.
The Green Amphoteric Surfactant Derived From Rapeseed Oil for Enhanced Oil Recovery From Carbonate Acidic Oil Reservoirs. ABSTRACT Surfactants with both positive and negative functional groups (amphoteric or zwitterionic) are particularly advantageous in acidic oil reservoirs because they remain stable under harsh chemical conditions, tolerate acidic ...

Deterministic Fiber‐Optic Spectral Engineering Enables Three‐Color Multiplexed Two‐Photon Microscopy

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A simulation‐guided spectral‐engineering framework maps the nonlinear parameter space of a fiber laser platform to identify balanced three‐band excitation states. The resulting 960, 1080, and 1175 nm femtosecond pulses deliver nJ‐level energies for low‐cross‐talk chromatically multiplexed two‐photon microscopy.

Associations of Monocyte Glucocerebrosidase with Cognition and Cholinergic Innervation in GBA1 Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background The GBA1 gene encodes the lysosomal enzyme glucocerebrosidase (GCase). Parkinson's disease (PD) patients carrying a GBA1 variant (GBA‐PD) exhibit faster cognitive decline, linked to cholinergic degeneration. Objectives The aim was to investigate whether GCase activity, measured in monocytes, correlates with cognitive dysfunction or ...

The GBA1 p.E427K (p.E388K) Variant Is a Risk Factor for Synucleinopathies: A Meta‐Analysis

open access: yesMovement Disorders, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Variants in GBA1 are important genetic risk factors for synucleinopathies, including Parkinson's disease (PD). Although several GBA1 variants are established risk or severity modifiers, the role of the p.E427K variant remains unclear.
