Development of lanthanum nickelate as a cathode for use in intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cells [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
The performance of lanthanum nickelate, La2NiO4+δ (LNO), as a cathode in IT-SOFCs with the electrolyte cerium gadolinium oxide, Ce0.9Gd0.1O2−δ (CGO), has been investigated by AC impedance spectroscopy of symmetrical cells.

The Propagators for δ and δ′ Potentials With Time-Dependent Strengths

open access: yesFrontiers in Physics, 2020
We study the time-dependent Schrödinger equation with finite number of Dirac δ and δ′ potentials with time dependent strengths in one dimension. We obtain the formal solution for generic time dependent strengths and then we study the particular cases for

Coupling the dual isotopes of water (δ 2H and δ 18O) and nitrate (δ 15N and δ 18O): a new framework for classifying current and legacy groundwater pollution

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters, 2021
Nitrate contamination of groundwater is a concern globally, particularly in agricultural regions where decades of fertilizer nitrogen (N) use has led to a legacy of N accumulation in soils and groundwater.

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Direct non-oxidative methane decomposition over silica-supported Co/Ni/Mo catalysts

open access: yesMaterials for Renewable and Sustainable Energy
Typically, the methods for converting methane can be categorized into two primary groups: direct and indirect. Among these, the direct non-oxidative conversion of methane to higher hydrocarbons has received a lot of interest in recent years due to its ...

On Characterization of δ-Topological Vector Space

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2021
The main objective of this paper is to present the study of δ-topological vector space, δ-topological vector space are defined by using δ-open sets and δ-continuous mapping which was introduced by J.H.H. Bayati[3] in 2019. In this paper, along with basic

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Two-point normalization for reducing inter-laboratory discrepancies in δ 17O, δ 18O, and Δ′17O of reference silicates

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Science and Technology, 2020
The δ 17O and δ 18O values of a number of terrestrial minerals and rocks have been determined using laser fluorination method worldwide. For the comprehensive and congruous interpretation of oxygen isotope data, the δ-values should be normalized by the ...
