AMPK、mTOR ...

Decreased in n‐3 DHA enriched triacylglycerol in small extracellular vesicles of diabetic patients with cardiac dysfunction

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 12, Page 1070-1080, December 2023., 2023
Highlights Lipid profiles of small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) in patients with diabetes or diabetic cardiovascular disease are rarely reported. n‐3 docosahexaenoic acid (DHA)‐enriched triacylglycerol (TG) was found to decrease in sEVs from serum of patients with diabetic cardiovascular disease (DM‐CAD).

Cerebro-Metabolic Disease: Concept, Method, Challenge and Future Directions

open access: yesZhongguo cuzhong zazhi, 2023
Abstract: Metabolic risk factors are important ...

The link between obesity and insulin resistance among children: Effects of key metabolites

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 12, Page 1020-1028, December 2023., 2023
Highlights Childhood obesity was significantly associated with the increased risk of insulin resistance (IR). There were 12 metabolites co‐associated with childhood obesity and IR, including seven amino acid and five fatty acid metabolites. The combination of body mass index standard deviation score and key metabolites could effectively predict the ...

A network meta‐analysis of association between cardiometabolic risk factors and COVID‐19 outcome severity

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 11, Page 968-977, November 2023., 2023
Highlights Among 301 studies, diabetes mellitus was the most studied cardiometabolic risk factor. In the network meta‐analysis, cerebrovascular disease had the highest impact (relative risk [RR] 1.69; 95% CI, 1.65–1.73) on COVID‐19 outcomes compared to other cardiometabolic risk factors.

Osteoarthritis and risk of type 2 diabetes: A two‐sample Mendelian randomization analysis

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 11, Page 987-993, November 2023., 2023
Highlights We used data from the genome‐wide association studies database and two‐sample mendelian randomization method, we found that genetic evidence supporting that knee osteoarthritis is a potential risk factor for type 2 diabetes. Abstract Background Physical inactivity is an independent risk factor for type 2 diabetes (T2D).

Sensitivity to thyroid hormone and risk of components of metabolic syndrome in a Chinese euthyroid population

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 10, Page 900-910, October 2023., 2023
Highlights Mild acquired impaired thyroid hormone sensitivity was widespread among the general populations. Reduced thyroid hormone sensitivity was related with metabolic syndrome and its components. Impaired thyroid hormone sensitivity might affect the distribution of adipose tissue and muscle.

Beta‐cell function in type 2 diabetes (T2DM): Can it be preserved or enhanced? 2

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 10, Page 817-837, October 2023., 2023
Highlights Type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) is characterized by progressive loss of beta‐cell function and mass. Numerous mechanisms of beta‐cell failure are involved. Preservation and/or enhancement of beta‐cell function is of great importance in delaying the progression of T2DM and the burden of its complications. Accurate evaluation of the effects of

Increased glutamate in type 2 diabetes in the Korean population is associated with increased plasminogen levels

open access: yesJournal of Diabetes, Volume 15, Issue 9, Page 777-786, September 2023., 2023
Highlights Increased glutamate is associated with the development of diabetes. Glutamate increases plasminogen (PLG) levels through glutamate metabotropic receptor 5 activation with various insulin resistance‐related stresses. Glutamate inhibits the conversion of PLG to plasmin by increasing plasminogen activator inhibitor‐1.
