Emerging applications of large language models in ecology and conservation science
Abstract Large language models (LLMs) mark a major development in artificial intelligence, with potentially transformative implications for ecology and conservation science. Built on advanced deep‐learning architectures, these models can support a wide range of tasks. We reviewed emerging applications of LLMs, drawing on the wider scientific literature

Abstract Modeling species distributions in dynamic pelagic environments remains challenging, particularly for wide‐ranging and highly mobile species when there is limited guidance on model performance. This limitation constrains the effective use of species distribution models (SDMs) in marine conservation, where robust and transferable predictions are

ABSTRACT This study examines how foreign language teachers’ beliefs about the medium of instruction and translanguaging evolve over time by revisiting three in‐service teachers twelve years after their initial interviews. Using a qualitative longitudinal design, the study traces how translanguaging was initially framed as pedagogically deficient but ...

Enhanced Corrosion Resistance in an Additively Manufactured Copper Alloy via Suppressed Segregation
ABSTRACT This study elucidates the corrosion behavior of C18150 Cu–Cr–Zr alloy fabricated by laser powder bed fusion (LPBF) in comparison with a conventional wrought baseline representative of industrial Cu–Cr–Zr plate products, highlighting the superior corrosion resistance of the additively manufactured condition.

Bidirectional Interfacial Chemical Regulation Enables Durable Aqueous Zn‐I2 Batteries
ABSTRACT Aqueous Zn‐I2 batteries hold great promise for large‐scale energy storage, yet their practical deployment is hindered by coupled interfacial instabilities at both electrodes, where Zn‐anode parasitic reactions and cathodic polyiodide shuttle mutually aggravate each other.

ABSTRACT Tin‐based composite oxides typically undergo severe volume variations and exhibit poor intrinsic conductivities despite their high theoretical capacity as promising anode candidates for sodium‐ion batteries. This results in rapid structural degradation and capacity fading upon cycling.

ABSTRACT Aqueous zinc batteries hold great promise for large‐scale energy storage, yet their practical application is hindered by dendrite growth and interfacial side reactions on the zinc anode. Inspired by the industrially mature chromate passivation technology, this work reports an in situ construction of a chromium‐rich passivation layer (Zn@Cr) on
