Effects of season length and uniparental care efficacy on the evolution of parental care
This theoretical study shows that individual (within‐sex) variation of parental care strategies readily evolves, leading to the coexistence of different care patterns in the same population. Depending on season length and uniparental care efficacy, alternative equilibria often exist, explaining variation across populations and the evolutionary lability

Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Human‐driven landscape change, particularly urbanization, is reshaping pollinator communities, yet the functional traits that mediate species persistence remain poorly understood. Dietary specialization is commonly used to predict species vulnerability.

Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Most terrestrial plant species form symbioses with arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF). However, the below‐ground carbon (C) allocation of plants and the nutritional and growth benefits provided by AMF within this symbiosis vary greatly across species and environments ...

ABSTRACT Previous research has established the relationships between motivation, anxiety, teachers’ support, and self‐regulated learning (SRL) in English‐as‐a‐foreign‐language (EFL) learning. Most of the studies, however, have taken a variable‐centered approach in addressing the variable correlations, while learners’ characteristics and variable links ...

The Inclusion Trade‐Off: Comparing the Design and Functionality of Collaborative Governance Forums
ABSTRACT Environmental challenges require collaboration across jurisdictions, often through forums or intermediary spaces for repeated interaction. A persistent forum design question concerns inclusion criteria, or which actors should be included.

Assessing the Effect of Deservingness Cues on Tolerance for Administrative Burdens
ABSTRACT Beneficiaries of public programs must overcome several administrative challenges. Given what we know about the politics of the welfare state, it seems likely that the public's willingness to support reductions in burdens may be associated with the characteristics of potential policy targets including their life circumstances and their race ...

Background: The chronic and multifactorial character of canine atopic dermatitis (cAD) often leads to poor disease control and treatment dissatisfaction. Environmental factors are likely to contribute to the disease development and may play a more important role than assumed previously.

Nitrogen Anchoring Effect Triggering Improved Reversible Hydrogen Storage of Mg(BH4)2
ABSTRACT This research uncovered the influence of nitrogen‐doped MXene Ti3CN on the reversible hydrogen storage properties of Mg(BH4)2. The Mg(BH4)2‐20Ti3CN composite began releasing hydrogen at a temperature of 80°C. In addition, the composite discharged over 8.8 wt% hydrogen at a comparatively lower temperature of 270°C, whereas the pure Mg(BH4)2 ...
