Breaking Shuttle‐Induced Kinetics Limitations in Lithium–Sulfur Batteries: Confined FeS2 Nanocatalyst With Optimized d‐Band Center

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT The commercialization of lithium‐sulfur batteries (LSBs) faces dual challenges of sluggish sulfur redox kinetics and lithium polysulfides (LiPSs) shuttling. Herein, we demonstrate a synergistic strategy combining multidimensional structural confinement with d‐band center modulation to simultaneously suppress LiPSs diffusion and catalyze ...

Heterointerfaces and Sulfur Vacancies in MXene/MoS2@C for Boosted Ultra‐Broadband Electromagnetic Wave Absorption and Infrared Stealth Response

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Ti3C2Tx MXene shows significant potential in the field of electromagnetic wave absorption; however, the wave absorption performance was hindered due to the impedance mismatch, which was caused by its inherent high dielectric constant. In this work, Ti3C2Tx MXene co‐assembled with molybdenum disulfide nanosheets and carbon coating layers (MXene/

Microwave‐Actuated CuS/CuCo2O4 Heterojunction Microneedles for Synergistic Eradication of Deep‐Seated Biofilms and Inflammatory Microenvironment Remodeling in Acne Treatment

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Deep skin infections and dense biofilm barriers caused by Propionibacterium acnes (P. acnes) remain significant challenges in recurrent acne vulgaris, exacerbated by the poor stratum corneum penetration of conventional therapies and rising antibiotic resistance.

Encapsulation of Bi2S3 Within Multifunctional Sulfurized Polyacrylonitrile Matrix Enables High‐Performance Wide‐Temperature Sodium/Potassium‐Ion Batteries Through Solid–Solid Conversion

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT With high theoretical capacity and low cost, bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) demonstrates considerable potential as an anode for sodium/potassium‐ion batteries (SIBs/PIBs). Unfortunately, significant volume variation, low electrical conductivity, and dissolution of polysulfides drastically weaken their intrinsic merits.

Bio‐Inspired Continuous Gradient Nanocomposites for Ultrahigh‐Temperature Dielectric Energy Storage at 150°C–200°C

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Dielectric polymers commonly suffer from severe performance degradation above 150°C, hindering advanced power systems. Herein, we demonstrate a polyetherimide (PEI) nanocomposite that overcomes this by mimicking the gradient architecture of nacre and bamboo, incorporating a continuous vertical gradient of fluorinated boron nitride nanosheets ...

Synergizing Multi‐Chemisorption Sites and Micropore Confinement in Porous Carbon for High‐Performance Zinc‐Ion Hybrid Capacitors

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Aqueous zinc‐ion hybrid capacitors (ZICs) bridge the gap between high‐energy batteries and high‐power supercapacitors, yet their performance is fundamentally bottlenecked by the micropore confinement effect in carbon cathodes, which restricts hydrated Zn2+ transport and active site utilization.

网状电极处理硫酸阳极化溶液中的铜

open access: yesGongye shui chuli, 1987

Pre‐Established Zincophilic Na2SiO3 Decorated Array‐Like Channels to Regulate the Zn2+ Flux and Interfacial Corrosion for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Anode

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Aqueous zinc‐ion batteries (AZIBs) have attracted increasing attention in energy storage owing to their high energy density, low redox potential, and cost‐effectiveness. Nevertheless, uncontrolled dendrite accumulation, gas generation, and severe side‐reaction problems hinder the cycling lifespan, which prevents their commercial applications ...

Architecting a Robust Yarn‐Like CNT Framework for Structurally Resilient ZnSe Anodes in Potassium–Ion Batteries

open access: yesRare Metals, Volume 45, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The development of structurally stable anodes with high capacities and long cycle lives is essential for the development of potassium–ion batteries. Conversion‐type anodes have attracted considerable attention in potassium–ion batteries (PIBs) due to their high theoretical capacities.
