Hydraulic traits are coordinated but decoupled from carbon traits in herbaceous species
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Plant hydraulic traits primarily define the water regulation strategy, thus enabling a better understanding of vegetation structure, function and dynamics under varying hydro‐environments.

China's Eco‐Civilisation, Climate Leviathan, and Hobbesian Energy Transition
Abstract Scholars have hitherto tended to theorise China's ecological civilisation project either as a form of environmental authoritarianism or as a vision of eco‐socialism. This paper contributes to the conversation by conducting a textual analysis of Chinese scholarly discussions on eco‐civilisation.

Navigating scale and interdisciplinary dynamics in conservation social science
Abstract To better understand and address global human–environment crises, interdisciplinary collaborations across the natural and social sciences have become increasingly common in conservation. Within such collaborations, the question of scale can cause tensions: how to agree on the unit of measurement and analysis?

Brief summary: Urbanization is leading to “Nature‐deficit Disorder” that threatens children's health and the sustainable development of humanity. This study implements a new solution—the Mini Botanical Garden, which integrates some of the functions of botanical gardens into community green spaces to popularize nature education in the city.

Public trust in regulatory agencies and support for policies on agricultural gene drive
Abstract Public trust in government agencies plays an important role in the formation of public opinion about public policy issues.
