Cytological examination of the ear canal is essential for evaluating dogs with otitis externa (OE). The conventional sampling method uses a swab. However, the cytobrush (gynaecological cervical brush), already used for cytological collection from other anatomical sites, has not been adequately investigated for this purpose in dogs with OE.

昆虫病毒对脊椎动物性细胞的致突变性研究

应用显性致死试验方法来检测3种昆虫病毒(EpNPV、DtGV、DpCPV)对哺乳动物性细胞的致灾变性,以期全面评价3种昆虫病毒的“潜在性危害”.研究结果表明,EpNPV、DtGV、DpCPV对雄性小白鼠的生殖细胞无致突变作用,故不产生遗传性危害。

We found the estimated use of tiger bone glue within the last 12 months to be 6.9%. We found a stated motivation of taking TBG to improve health, and by the suggestion of one's social group. We suggest reducing the acceptability of TBG as medicine and encouraging non‐animal‐based medicinal alternatives.

一例灰袋鼠致病性屎肠球菌的分离鉴定

为了确定导致灰袋鼠化脓性肺炎的病原,从1只灰袋鼠的肺脏脓汁、肝脏、脾脏中分离到1株革兰氏阳性球菌,并对其进行生化鉴定、16 SrRNA鉴定、药敏试验、病理学观察和小鼠致病性试验。结果表明,袋鼠肺脏支气管和肺泡充血,伴有大量炎性细胞浸润。分离到的细菌通过生化鉴定和16 SrRNA鉴定为屎肠球菌,具有α溶血,对8种抗生素产生了耐药,为高水平耐庆大霉素肠球菌(HLGRE),对万古霉素敏感,对小白鼠有致病性。这是国内首次报道灰袋鼠致病性屎肠球菌。
