Individual Variation in Overwintering Strategies of the Great Evening Bat (Ia io) in Subtropical China 中国亚热带地区大足蝠 (Ia io) 越冬策略的个体差异

open access: yesWildlife Letters, Volume 4, Issue 2, Page 66-72, June 2026.
Tracking with GPS and accelerometers shows that great evening bats in subtropical China use two overwintering strategies: some remain in continuous hibernation, while others switch between torpor and activity as temperatures change. This behavioral flexibility, shaped by climate, underscores the importance of protecting diverse roosting habitats for ...

A Dynamic Correlation‐Information‐Fusion‐Based Spatiotemporal Network for Traffic Flow Forecasting

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, Volume 11, Issue 3, Page 859-874, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Traffic Flow Forecasting (TFF) is a foundational task in the development of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITSs). The primary challenge is to undertake a comprehensive exploration of the intrinsic dynamic spatiotemporal correlations of the road network, unveiling the long‐term evolutionary traffic trends.

High‐Pressure Elasticity of CAS Phase and Its Implications for the Fate of Subducted Anorthosite Crust

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, Volume 53, Issue 10, 28 May 2026.
Abstract The CAS phase (CaAl4Si2O11) is a key phase formed in subducted silica‐alumina rich crustal and sedimentary materials under the mantle transition zone conditions. In this study, its elastic properties were investigated using first‐principles calculations up to 30 GPa.

KDLM: Lightweight Brain Tumor Segmentation via Knowledge Distillation

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
A lightweight student network is designed, which is based on multiscale and multilevel feature fusion and combined with the residual channel attention mechanism to achieve efficient feature extraction and fusion with very few parameters. A dual‐teacher collaborative knowledge distillation framework is proposed.

Community Assembly Mechanism of Woody Plants at Different Successional Stages in Karst Areas Based on Functional Traits and Phylogeny

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 5, May 2026.
This study reveals a shift in woody plant community assembly from competitive exclusion in early succession to habitat filtering in later stages within karst areas. Environmental distance (80.54%) contributed significantly more than geographical distance (9.95%), providing strong quantitative evidence that niche processes, particularly habitat ...

Salvianolic Acid B Inhibited LH2 Expression to Reduce Collagen Synthesis in Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesJournal of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, Volume 30, Issue 10, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Collagen deposition and scar formation are hallmark features of fibrotic diseases. Lysyl hydroxylase 2 (PLOD2/LH2), a key collagen‐modifying enzyme, catalyses lysine hydroxylation at telopeptide sites to promote pyridinoline cross‐link formation, thereby enhancing collagen stability and matrix stiffness.

Habitat Fragmentation in Urbanized Landscapes Favors Bird Species With Darker Plumage

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 4, April 2026.
Using long‐term breeding bird survey data from 30 remnant woodlot patches within a rapidly urbanizing landscape in southwest China, we demonstrate that species with darker plumage are more likely to persist in highly fragmented habitats. The pattern is slightly more pronounced in males than in females.

Lactobacillus plantarum Dynamically Changes the Fermentation Characteristics and Active Ingredients of Summer/Autumn Tea Leaves

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 4, April 2026.
Lactiplantibacillus plantarum modulates summer/autumn tea fermentation, reshaping microbial communities to enrich umami and sweet amino acids while suppressing harmful bacteria, thereby effectively improving flavor quality. ABSTRACT Yields of summer/autumn tea in China are relatively high, but its utilization and market value remain limited because of ...

Effects of Equilibrium and Non‐Equilibrium Adsorption States on the Photoreduction and Isotope Fractionation of Hg(II) in Urban Aerosols

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, Volume 131, Issue 6, 28 March 2026.
Abstract Mercury (Hg) photoreduction on urban aerosols plays a critical role in atmospheric Hg cycling, yet the effects of the adsorption state on its kinetics and isotopic fractionation remain poorly constrained. This study investigates Hg(II) photoreduction under equilibrium (EAC) and non‐equilibrium adsorption conditions (NAC) using a flow‐through ...
