UCanWBGT: urban street canyon heat stress calculation for weather and climate models
This work introduces UCanWBGT, a new model to calculate wet‐bulb globe temperature in an urban environment, suitable for use with weather and climate model data. We present the model, then verify its performance against observations made in the streets of Paris during heatwave conditions.

Abstract Research Summary How do analysts react to communication about firms' strategies? Research has shown that executive communication influences markets, but we know little about reactions to the deeper strategy content communicated. Nernst branes in gauged supergravity
We study static black brane solutions in the context of N = 2 U(1) gauged supergravity in four dimensions. Using the formalism of first-order flow equations, we construct novel extremal black brane solutions including examples of Nernst branes, i.e ...

Shaping expectations, losing flexibility: A study of CEO promises as strategic communication tools
Abstract Research Summary CEO promises are powerful but understudied communication tools. We develop a dual‐mechanism framework theorizing that while CEO promises elevate stakeholder expectations, they simultaneously constrain strategic flexibility. We argue that CEO promise‐making is shaped by two competing pressures: making more promises when the ...

Greenway development and gentrification
Abstract This paper presents research on expanding access to green spaces in developed areas. Critics claim greenway projects lead to gentrification by increasing the demand for housing and pushing out residents in nearby neighborhoods. We look for evidence of this phenomenon using a sorting model and panel data on aggregate populations in Atlanta ...

Energy Biased Technical Change: A CGE Analysis [PDF]
This paper studies energy bias in technical change. For this purpose, we develop a computable general equilibrium model that builds on endogenous growth models.

Laissez‐faire leadership, red tape and the meaningful work paradox
While meaningful work is widely recognised as a driver of job satisfaction, the role of leadership style and bureaucratic constraints in shaping this relationship remains underexplored. This study addresses this gap by investigating how laissez‐faire leadership and red tape moderate the meaningful work–job satisfaction relationship among Australian ...
