Effect of austenitizing temperature on grain size, carbides and toughness of low C-Cr-Mo-Ni bearing steel

open access: yesJournal of Hebei University of Science and Technology, 2020
In order to investigate the microstructure and toughness of low carbon chromium molybdenum nickel bearing steel under different heat treatment processes, an austenitic isothermal insulation test is performed.

Different Hemodynamic Responses of the Primary Motor Cortex Accompanying Eccentric and Concentric Movements: A Functional NIRS Study

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2018
The literature contains limited evidence on how our brains control eccentric movement. A higher activation is expected in the contralateral motor cortex (M1) but consensus has not yet been reached.

Spectral asymmetries in nucleon sum rules at finite density

open access: yes, 1993
Apparent inconsistencies between different formulations of nucleon sum rules at finite density are resolved through a proper accounting of asymmetries in the spectral functions between positive- and negative-energy states.Comment: 10 pages in RevTeX, OSU-

A sketching interface for 3D modeling of polyhedron [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We present an intuitive and interactive freehand sketching interface for 3D polyhedrons reconstruction. The interface mimics sketching with pencil on paper and takes freehand sketches as input directly.

Origin of HAV strains responsible for 2016-2017 outbreak among MSM: Viral phylodynamics in Lazio region.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
In Europe HAV infection occurs mainly among specific risk groups, such as consumers of specific food. Sexual transmission of HAV has been demonstrated, particularly among Men-Who-Have-Sex-With-Men (MSM), causing MSM-specific outbreaksin Europe.

Abstract 090: Delayed Cerebral Vasculopathy as a Complication of Pneumococcal Meningitis

open access: yesStroke: Vascular and Interventional Neurology, 2023
Introduction Pneumococcal meningitis is a severe neuro‐infectious disease with high mortality rates and long‐term neurological complications. Amongst these complications is the delayed cerebral vasculopathy (DCV) which develops days to weeks into the ...

Proteomic Profiling and Rhizosphere-Associated Microbial Communities Reveal Adaptive Mechanisms of Dioclea apurensis Kunth in Eastern Amazon’s Rehabilitating Minelands

open access: yesPlants, 2022
Dioclea apurensis Kunth is native to ferruginous rocky outcrops (known as canga) in the eastern Amazon. Native cangas are considered hotspots of biological diversity and have one of the largest iron ore deposits in the world. There, D. apurensis can grow

Activity of LpxC inhibitors on carbapenemase-producing Citrobacter spp. clinical isolates

open access: yesJournal of Global Antimicrobial Resistance
: Objective: Citrobacter spp. are commonly found in the human intestine and can cause antibiotic-resistant infections. Inhibitors of LpxC, an enzyme involved in the synthesis of lipid A, have demonstrated potent activity against multiple Gram-negative ...

Magnetic and Structural Response Tuned by Coexisting Mn Concentration‐Dependent Phases in MnBi2Te4 Thin Film Grown on GaAs(001) by Molecular Beam Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The study explores structural and magnetic properties of one of the most recent topological quantum materials (MnBi2Te4). The Mn‐poor structure leads to stacking faults (quintuple layer ‐ QL of Bi2Te3 formation instead of a septuple layer ‐ SL of MnBi2Te4), resulting in a coexistence between weak antiferromagnetism and ferromagnetism.
