New 1,2,6-thiadiazine dioxide acyclonucleosides: Synthesis and antiviral evaluation

New acyclonucleosides derived from 1,2,6-thiadiazine dioxide systems have been synthesized. Lipase-mediated deacylation procedure was used to obtain the deprotected derivatives. All the newly prepared compounds were tested as antiviral agents, but none of them showed significant activity.

AbstractThe synthesis and spectroscopical data of 1,2,6‐thiadiazine 1,1‐dioxides, designed as antiprotozoal agents, are reported. The in vitro trichomonacidal and trypanocidal activities of new compounds and their precursors were evaluated against Trichomonas vaginalis and Trypanosoma cruzi.

Substitution chemistry of 3,5-dichloro-4 H -1,2,6-thiadiazine 4,4-ketals

Abstract The reactivity of 3,5-dichloro-4H-1,2,6-thiadiazine 4,4-ketals towards nucleophilic substitution or palladium-catalyzed C–C coupling at the C-3/5 positions led to seven new 3,5-disubstituted 4H-1,2,6-thiadiazine ethylene glycol 4,4-ketals and seven 3,5-disubstituted 4H-1,2,6-thiadiazine catechol 4,4-ketals in 83–98% yields.
