Emissions of 1,3-Dichloropropene and Chloropicrin after Soil Fumigation under Field Conditions

open access: yes, 2015
Soil fumigation is an important agronomic practice in the production of many high-value vegetable and fruit crops, but the use of chemical fumigants can lead to excessive atmospheric emissions.

Formation of chlorobenzenes by oxidative thermal decomposition of 1,3-dichloropropene

open access: yes
We combine combustion experiments and density functional theory (DFT) calculations to investigate the formation of chlorobenzenes from oxidative thermal decomposition of 1,3-dichloropropene. Mono- to hexa-chlorobenzenes are observed between 800 and 1150.

Inhalation exposure to 1,3-dichloropropene in the Dutch flower-bulb culture. Part I. Environmental monitoring

open access: yes, 1991
Respiratory occupational exposure to the Z- and E-isomers of 1,3-dichloropropene (DCP) of twelve commercial applicators was assessed. The time-weighted average (TWA) concentrations of DCP ranged from 1.9 to 18.9 mg/m3. On 30% of the observed working days

Fumigation of marine clay soils infested with Globodera pallida and G. rostochiensis using 1,3-dichloropropene and additional top soil treatments

open access: yes, 1999
Three fields of marine clay soil were fumigated with 150 l/ha 1,3-dichloropropene (DD) (Telone II(TM), Shell 95(TM)). On three dates after application, concentrations of Z- and E-1,3-dichloropropene were measured per 5 cm layer of soil to a depth of 40 ...

Quantum Chemical Molecular Dynamics Simulations of 1,3-Dichloropropene Combustion

open access: yes
Oxidative decomposition of 1,3-dichloropropene was investigated using quantum chemical molecular dynamics (QM/MD) at 1500 and 3000 K. Thermal oxidation of 1,3-dichloropropene was initiated by (1) abstraction of allylic H/Cl by O₂ and (2) intra-annular C ...
