Temporal Bell inequalities without noninvasive measurability [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2005
Some temporal Bell inequalities are deduced under the assumption of realism and perfect correlation. No locality condition is needed. When the system is macroscopic, the perfect correlation assumption substitutes the noninvasive measurability hypothesis advanteousgely. The new inequalities are violated quantically. This violation is clearly more severe

Does three-tangle properly quantify the three-party entanglement for Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger-type states?

open access: yes, 2009
Some mixed states composed of only GHZ states can be expressed in terms of only W-states. This fact implies that such states have vanishing three-tangle. One of such rank-3 states, $\Pi_{GHZ}$, is explicitly presented in this paper.

Are all meats substitutes? A basket‐and‐expenditure‐based approach

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract This study examines the relationship among animal‐based meat and plant‐based meat alternatives (PBMAs) using a basket‐and‐expenditure‐based choice experiment. In particular, we examine whether animal‐based meat products are substitutes or complements with PBMAs.

Foreign labor, peer‐networking and agricultural efficiency in the Italian dairy sector

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
Abstract While the presence of immigrants in the agricultural sector is widely acknowledged, the empirical evidence on its economic consequences is lacking, especially from a microeconomic perspective. Using the Farm Accountancy Data Network panel data for Italian dairy farms in the period 2008–2018, the present study investigates the relationship ...

Crop Diversification and Income Inequality in Irrigation Systems: The Case of Minipe

open access: yesTropical Agricultural Research, 2011
Crop diversification leads to reduction of water scarcity problems and income inequality in irrigation systems. Irrigated areas have been witnessing a slow diversification from paddy to other field crops (OFC) during yala season.

Reverse Cauchy--Schwarz inequalities for positive C*-valued sesquilinear forms [PDF]

open access: yesMath. Inequal. Appl. 4 (2009), no. 4, 701-709, 2009
We prove two new reverse Cauchy--Schwarz inequalities of additive and multiplicative types in a space equipped with a positive sesquilinear form with values in a C*-algebra. We apply our results to get some norm and integral inequalities. As a consequence, we improve a celebrated reverse Cauchy--Schwarz inequality due to G Polya and G. Szego.

Agricultural Diversification at the Margin. Strategies and Determinants in Italian Mountain and Remote Areas

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper explores the convergence in on‐farm diversification strategies of agricultural holdings, between remote areas and more central ones. Using Italian farm‐level data, we explore the determinants of diversification strategies across farms.
