The Role of 18F-FDG PET/CT Integrated Imaging in Distinguishing Malignant from Benign Pleural Effusion. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2016
The aim of our study was to evaluate the role of 18F-FDG PET/CT integrated imaging in differentiating malignant from benign pleural effusion.A total of 176 patients with pleural effusion who underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT examination to differentiate ...

AARS1‐Mediated H3K27 Lactylation Rewires Glycolysis to Sustain Aggressive and Recurrent Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS1 drives PI3K–AKT–mTOR‐dependent glycolysis in bladder cancer, promoting lactate accumulation, increased lactylation, H3K27la enrichment at the HK2 promoter, and HK2 transcription. HK2 reinforces glycolysis, sustaining a metabolic–epigenetic program associated with tumor progression, recurrence, and metastasis.

Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of 3-O-(2-18F-fluoroethyl)-L-DOPA as A Potential PET Agent for Tumor Imaging

open access: yesJournal of Isotopes, 2020
As a complementary category to 18F-2-fluoro-2-deoxy-D-glucose (18F-FDG), radiolabeled amino acids have been successfully employed for tumor imaging.

14‐3‐3γ Protects Against Postoperative Cognitive Dysfunction by Regulating Tau Thr205 Phosphorylation and Synaptic Integrity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Integrative multi‐cohort analyses identify 14‐3‐3γ as a biomarker and regulator of cognitive vulnerability. Experimental studies show that 14‐3‐3γ loss is associated with Tau Thr205 phosphorylation, synaptic dysfunction, and cognitive impairment, while genetic overexpression or pharmacological stabilization of 14‐3‐3γ confers protective effects in ...

DUAL-TRACER PET/CT IMAGING IN HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA: COMPARING THE PERFORMANCE OF 18F-FDG AND 18F-PSMA

open access: yesHematology, Transfusion and Cell Therapy
Introduction/Justification: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a prevalent malignancy with rising incidence in Western countries, often diagnosed at advanced stages. Early detection and accurate assessment of tumor extent are crucial for optimal treatment

Evaluation of apoptosis imaging biomarkers in a genetic model of cell death

open access: yesEJNMMI Research, 2019
Purpose We have previously developed the caspase-based radiotracer, 18F-ICMT-11, for PET imaging to monitor treatment response. We further validated 18F-ICMT-11 specificity in a murine melanoma death-switch tumour model with conditional activation of ...

Targeting LDHA Palmitoylation Sensitizes GBM to Chemoradiotherapy via Suppressing Palmitic Acid Induced Glycolytic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal GSCs preferentially uptake palmitic acid, thereby promoting ZDHHC12‐mediated LDHA palmitoylation. This modification enhances LDHA enzymatic activity, drives glycolytic reprogramming, and facilitates exosomal LDHA‐mediated TAM regulation.

Near‐Infrared Fluorescent PROTAC Enables Theranostic Imaging and Selective Tau Degradation in Alzheimer's Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Here, we report a novel NIR fluorescent PROTAC platform that enables real‐time imaging and targeted degradation of Alzheimer's p‐Tau. Our lead compound effectively clears p‐Tau, reduces APP/Aβ, and alleviates cognitive deficits in AD mice. This work demonstrates a theranostic strategy for visualizing degradation and developing next‐generation AD ...

Assessment of glucose metabolism and cellular proliferation in multiple myeloma: a first report on combined 18F-FDG and 18F-FLT PET/CT imaging

open access: yesEJNMMI Research, 2018
Background Despite the significant upgrading in recent years of the role of 18F-FDG PET/CT in multiple myeloma (MM) diagnostics, there is a still unmet need for myeloma-specific radiotracers. 3′-Deoxy-3′-[18F]fluorothymidine (18F-FLT) is the most studied
