[2,4-D poisoning].

open access: yesMedycyna pracy, 1978
The paper presents 2 cases of intoxication with herbicides--chlorophenoxyacetic acid derivatives. In the cases observed, the following symptoms were shown in the clinical picture; general weakness, dizziness, headache, abdominal pains, nausea. Clinical observation revealed changes in blood circulation with pathological changes in EKG and transitory ...

CIPC-2,4-D Combinations for Control of 2,4-D-Resistant Monocot Species

open access: yes, 1970
Laboratory, greenhouse and field studies show that CIPC pretreatments alter 2,4-D resistant monocot species making them susceptible to subsequent 2,4-D treatments. Pretreatment with 1 lb/A CIPC followed 1- several weeks later by 1 lb/A 2,4-D has given control of wild garlic (Allium vineale) and eradication of yellow nutsedge (Cyperus esculentus) along ...

A Supramolecular Thermal Switch for Precision Pyroptosis via Host−Guest Recognition and Electrostatic Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A supramolecular pyroptotic thermal switch encapsulates I3− within β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) and undergoes CaCO3 mineralization. Upon lysosomal acidification, CaCO3 is degraded, releasing Ca2+ and I3−. Concurrently, BODIPY activation converts I3− into I2, inducing oxidative stress and Ca2+ overload, which together trigger caspase‐3/GSDME‐mediated ...

High‐Density E. Coli Cultivation Arrays for Combinatorial Drug Testing With Subsequent Lipid Profiling by MALDI‐MS

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
High‐throughput antibiotic cross‐gradient assays on microdroplet arrays. A multichannel printhead together with five pressure regulators forms droplet arrays of up to 20 832 droplets within 25 minutes. Each droplet contains unique concentrations of antibiotics, allowing to moniture a vast spectrum of bacterial repsonses over night. The bacterial growth

Pyrazole‐Derived Antibacterial Compounds Effectively Treat Methicillin‐Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus Infections by Inhibiting Aspartate Transcarbamoylase

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study unveils a novel antibacterial mechanism against MRSA, in which the compound Py‐27 selectively targets and inhibits aspartate transcarbamoylase (ATCase), a key enzyme in pyrimidine synthesis. This inhibition disrupts DNA replication, induces oxidative damage, leading to potent bactericidal activity.

Effects of olive oil and its fractions on oxidative stress and the liver's fatty acid composition in 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid-treated rats

open access: yesNutrition & Metabolism, 2010
Background Olive oil's beneficial effects are not only related to its high content of oleic acid, but also to the antioxidant potential of its polyphenols.

Probing Electrocatalyst Design for Product Selectivity in CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Selective CO2 electroreduction is controlled by catalyst structure, dynamic surface reconstruction, adsorbate interactions, and reaction microenvironment. This review summarizes Cu‐ and non‐Cu‐based catalysts, single‐atom and molecular systems, degradation pathways, and operando/computational strategies for steering CO2RR toward hydrocarbons ...

Visible‐Light‐Mediated Lewis Acid‐Catalyzed Diradical Hydrogen Atom Transfer Reaction of Enamides

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Lewis acid catalysis was crucial for the success of the DHAT reaction of enamides by lowering the energy of the triplet excited state and modulating the reactivity of the formed diradical intermediate in a carbon‐to‐carbon 1,5‐DHAT and consequent cyclization that allows the functionalization of C(sp3)−H bonds to construct a variety of novel β ...

Study of 2,4-D Spectral Characteristics and Its Detection in Zizania Latifolia Using Terahertz Time-Domain Spectroscopy

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid (2,4-D) is a common plant growth regulator, which can remain in food and, with long-term consumption, threaten human health. Therefore, it is necessary to propose an effective detection method.

Unveiling the Taxonomic Diversity and Unprecedented Biosynthetic Treasure of the Phylum Myxococcota

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Natural products remain vital sources of therapeutics, and the phylum Myxococcota constitutes an especially rich reservoir for them. Based on decades of microbiological efforts, we present 154 new Myxococcota genomes and revise taxonomy quadrupling the number of families and genera.
