Autocatalytic Deprotection of Diboronate‐Protected Quinones via Redox Cross‐Catalysis: Mechanistic Insights Into Double Masking Strategies

open access: yesChemSystemsChem, Volume 8, Issue 4, July 2026.
Mechanistic insights and design principles of diprotected molecular probes for autocatalytic redox amplification systems: assessing the influence of molecular structure symmetry and electronic substituent effects on the double deprotection and autocatalytic response. ABSTRACT We report an autocatalytic molecular amplification system based on the double

1-(3-Chlorophenyl)-3-(2,6-dichlorobenzoyl)thiourea

open access: yes, 2009
The structure of the title compound, C14H9Cl3N2OS, is composed of discrete molecules with bond lengths and angles quite typical for thiourea compounds of this class. The plane containing the thiocarbonyl and carbonyl groups subtends dihedral angles of 48.

CLE peptides in plant‐biotic interactions

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 250, Issue 2, Page 805-811, April 2026.
Summary Plant‐biotic interactions are driven by the exchange of molecules. Small peptide hormones like CLAVATA3/EMBRYO SURROUNDING REGION (CLE) peptides play central regulatory roles in these interactions. CLEs determine the extent of symbiotic interaction to balance costs and benefits for the host.

Enzyme Regulation in C4 Photosynthesis. Identification and Localization of Activities Catalyzing the Synthesis and Hydrolysis of Fructose-2,6-Bisphosphate in Corn Leaves [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
Activities catalyzing the synthesis of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate (fructose-6-phosphate,2-kinase or Fru-6-P,2K) and its breakdown (fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase or Fru-2,6-P2ase) were identified in leaves of corn (Zea mays), a C4 plant. Fru-6-P,2K and Fru-2,

Time-Resolved Resonance Raman Spectroscopic Studies on the Radical Anions of Methyl-1,4-benzoquinone and 2,6-Dimethyl-1,4-benzoquinone

open access: yes, 2002
Time-resolved resonance Raman spectroscopy (TR3) and density functional calculations have been used to study the effect of asymmetric substitution of methyl group on the structure and vibrational spectra of the radical anion of benzoquinone.

Antiproliferative and antimetabolic effects behind the anticancer property of fermented wheat germ extract [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Background Fermented wheat germ extract (FWGE) sold under the trade name Avemar exhibits anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo. Its mechanisms of action are divided into antiproliferative and antimetabolic effects.

Intra- and intermolecular proton transfer in 2,6-diaminopyridinium 4-hydroxypyridin-1-ium-2,6-dicarboxylate

open access: yes, 2012
Chelidamic acid (4-hydroxypyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid) and 2,6-diaminopyridine react to form the title salt, C5H8N3+·C7H4NO5-; there are two formula units in the asymmetric unit.

Heterogeneity in 2,6-Linked Sialic Acids Potentiates Invasion of Breast Cancer Epithelia

open access: yes, 2021
Heterogeneity in phenotypes of malignantly transformed cells and aberrant glycan expression on their surface are two prominent hallmarks of cancers that have hitherto not been linked to each other.

2,6-Diacetylpyridine-resorcinol (1/1)

open access: yes, 2012
The title co-crystal, C9H9NO2·C6H6O2, is composed of one 2,6-diacetylpyridine molecule and one resorcinol molecule as the asymmetric unit. In the 2,6-diacetylpyridine molecule, the two carbonyl groups are antiperiplanar to the pyridine N atom.
