Selective formylation of 2-aminopyridines
Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, 1974The specific ortho-formylation of 2-aminopyridines has been accomplished via the rearrangement of azasulphonium salts derived from 2-aminopyridines and dithian, and through the effective oxidation of 2-amino-3-methylthiomethylpyridines.

Hydrogen bond energies of 2-aminopyridine dimer and 2-aminopyridine-2-pyridone complex formation
Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1984Abstract The formation energies of 2-aminopyridine dimer and 2-aminopyridine-2-pyridone complex were measured in C 6 D 6 solution by 1 H-NMR spectroscopy and values of 25.1 and 44.6 kJ/mol were obtained. The former value is about twice the magnitude of hydrogen bond energies which are generally observed for the N---HN system, and latter value is ...

General and Mild Preparation of 2-Aminopyridines
Organic Letters, 2010A general and facile one-pot amination procedure for the synthesis of 2-aminopyridines from the corresponding pyridine-N-oxides is presented as a mild alternative to S(N)Ar chemistry. A variety of amines and heterocyclic-N-oxides participate effectively in this transformation which uses the phosphonium salt, PyBroP, as a means of substrate activation.

Solvent-free synthesis of novel steroidal 2-aminopyridines
Steroids, 2016The synthesis of novel steroidal 3-cyano-2-aminopyridines using enaminonitrile and various primary amines was established under solvent-free condition. Structures of the new compounds were characterized by MS, 1H and 13C NMR data and the structure of 2-aminopyridine of the product 5b was further confirmed by X-ray analysis.

Thermochemistry of 2-Aminopyridine (C5H6N2)(s)
Journal of Solution Chemistry, 2011The molar enthalpies of solution of 2-aminopyridine at various molalities were measured at T = 298.15 K in double-distilled water by means of an isoperibol solution- reaction calorimeter. According to Pitzer's theory, the molar enthalpy of solution of the title compound at infinite dilution was calculated to besolH ∞ m = 14.34 kJ · mol −1 , and Pitzer ...

Bis(μ-2-aminopyridine)bis[(trifluoroacetato)silver(I)]
Acta Crystallographica Section C Crystal Structure Communications, 2004The title compound, [Ag2(C2F3O2)2(C5H6N2)2], is a dinuclear AgI complex with inversion symmetry. Each Ag atom is three-coordinated by two N atoms from two different 2-aminopyridine ligands and by one O atom from a trifluoroacetate anion, giving an approximately trigonal coordination environment.
