Factoring Predicate Argument and Scope Semantics : underspecified Semantics with LTAG

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper we propose a compositional semantics for lexicalized tree-adjoining grammar (LTAG). Tree-local multicomponent derivations allow separation of the semantic contribution of a lexical item into one component contributing to the predicate ...

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Considerations on the Psychological Status of the Patients Undergoing Radical Cystectomy

open access: yesJournal of Mind and Medical Sciences, 2015
The psychological impact on patients suffering radical cystectomy is twofold - (both that of the underlying neoplastic disease and that measured by the quality of life subsequent to surgery) and increases as the urinary derivation technique is less ...

On the convexity theory of generating functions

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies
In this paper, we extend our convexity theory for C 2 cost functions in optimal transportation to more general generating functions, which were originally introduced by the second author to extend the framework of optimal transportation to embrace near ...

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Rigorous Lower Bound on Dynamical Exponents in Gapless Frustration-Free Systems

open access: yesPhysical Review X
This work rigorously establishes a universal lower bound z≥2 for the dynamical exponent in frustration-free quantum many-body systems whose ground states exhibit power-law decaying correlations.

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

Three phosphatase families form a community: The phosphohydrolases that act upon inositol pyrophosphates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol pyrophosphates are energy‐rich signaling molecules that perform critical functions in cells. Three different families of phosphatases hydrolyze the β phosphate of the inositol pyrophosphate molecules: two have narrow specificities and one is promiscuous.

T T ¯ $$ T\overline{T} $$ deformation of correlation functions

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We study the evolution of correlation functions of local fields in a two-dimensional quantum field theory under the λT T ¯ $$ \lambda T\overline{T} $$ deformation, suitably regularized.

ABL kinase‐dependent phosphorylation of SH proteins promotes their direct interaction with CRK family SH2 domains

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.
