Monitoring of Water Quality for Reduced Water Use in a Partial Recirculating Aquaculture System
ABSTRACT Partial recirculating aquaculture systems (PRASs) aim for combining the benefits of flow‐through systems (water use of approximately 50,000 L kg−1 feed) and recirculating aquaculture systems (RASs, 500–1000 L kg−1 feed). While water quality is usually excellent in flow‐through systems, large volumes of water of good quality are required.

Sustainable and Reusable Methylated Wood Waste Powder: An Eco-Friendly Solution for Efficient Removal of 2-Methylisoborneol from Water [PDF]
This study introduces a sustainable adsorbent derived from methylated wood waste for the efficient removal of 2-methylisoborneol (2-MIB), a pervasive taste and odor compound that compromises water quality and challenges treatment processes.

The realized niches in water temperature, pH, DO, and nutrient concentrations contribute to explaining the distribution patterns of the phytoplankton community in a drinking water reservoir. Realized niches contribute to understanding phytoplankton dynamics, offering valuable insights for the scientific management and prevention of phytoplankton blooms

Evaluation of Activated Carbon as a Reactive Cap Sorbent for Sequestration of PCBs in Presence of Humic Acid [PDF]
This study investigated the interferences caused by high humic acid concentrations on the adsorption of coplanar and noncoplanar polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) on coconut shell activated carbon. In particular, the research focuses on the application of

ABSTRACT The proliferation of cyanobacteria can result in algal blooms, which may cause environmental and biological harm due to the production and release of secondary metabolites, or cyanotoxins, into the affected waterway. Cyanobacteria can produce multiple classes of cyanotoxins; therefore, to understand the full toxic load of algal blooms, it is ...
