Supersymmetry Breaking: Models of Gauge Mediation with Gauge Messengers [PDF]
With the start of the LHC, it becomes increasingly important to understand the experimental signatures that discriminate different extensions of the standard model. Supersymmetry (SUSY), in particular the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM),

Shortening the gauge argument [PDF]
The ``gauge argument'' is often used to `deduce' interactions from a symmetry requirement. A transition---whose justification can take some effort---from global to local transformations is typically made at the beginning of the argument.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Effect of Needle Gauge on Children\'s Pain and Anxiety Level During Palatal Infiltration Anesthesia Injection: A Triple-Blind Randomized Controlled Trial Study [PDF]
Introduction: Pain of anesthesia injection in children is necessary and one of the most painful local anesthetics is palatal infiltration anesthesia.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Multi-instantons and supersymmetric SU(N) gauge theories [PDF]
In this thesis the proposed exact results for low energy effective N = 2 supersymmetric SU(N) Yang-Mills gauge theory coupled to Nf fundamental matter multiplets in four dimensions are considered.

Gauge transformations and gauge-invariant cosmological perturbations [PDF]
The study of cosmological perturbations brought to light misleading interpretations and solutions without physical meaning. In fact the invariance of General Relativity leads to the fact that different gauges, which yield to different solutions, are ...

Vectorlike particles, Z′ and Yukawa unification in F-theory inspired E6
We explore the low energy implications of an F-theory inspired E6 model whose breaking yields, in addition to the MSSM gauge symmetry, a Z′ gauge boson associated with a U(1) symmetry broken at the TeV scale.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...
