Matrix integrals & finite holography
We explore the conjectured duality between a class of large N matrix integrals, known as multicritical matrix integrals (MMI), and the series (2m − 1, 2) of non-unitary minimal models on a fluctuating background.

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Performance evaluation of HY-2 series satellites in marine gravity field recovery
China has successfully launched four Haiyang-2 (HY-2) series altimetry satellites. HY-2A has attracted significant attention in gravity field recovery, but the performance of other HY-2 series satellites, including HY-2B/C/D, is seldom discussed.

Most matter is nominally frozen in the polar regions or space, and liquid crystal materials are no exception. Consequently, soft actuators, including liquid crystal elastomers (LCEs), are inoperative under such extreme cold in response to stimuli, as their motion relies on mechanical deformation.

Grey-body factors, irreversibility and multiple island saddles
We consider the effect of grey-body factors on the entanglement island prescription for computing the entropy of an arbitrary subset of the Hawking radiation of an evaporating black hole.

3D Bioinspired Hair‐Based Solar Evaporator for Efficient Water Harvesting
A bio‐derived solar evaporator inspired by blackbody radiation is developed using human hair waste. The vertically aligned hair structure enables broadband light absorption, efficient thermal localization, and rapid water transport, achieving high evaporation rates and stable desalination performance.

2D gravitational Mabuchi action on Riemann surfaces with boundaries
We study the gravitational action induced by coupling two-dimensional non-conformal, massive matter to gravity on a Riemann surface with boundaries. A small-mass expansion gives back the Liouville action in the massless limit, while the first-order mass ...

Entanglement between two evaporating black holes
We study a thermo-field double type entangle state on two disjoint gravitating universes, say A and B, with an eternal black hole on each. As was shown previously, its entanglement entropy of the universe A is computed by the generalized entropy on a new

Nature‐Inspired Sustainable Cooling for Photovoltaics with Enhanced Temperature‐Salinity Dynamics
Addressing solar panel overheating, a nature‐inspired cooling system mimicking ocean currents is developed. A moisture‐absorbing solution layer uses sunlight, radiative cooling, and moisture processes to create temperature/salinity gradients, accelerating circulation. The prototype cools panels by up to 18.2 °C under sunlight, sustains cooling, rapidly

This review explores functional and responsive materials for triboelectric nanogenerators (TENGs) in sustainable smart agriculture. It examines how particulate contamination and dirt affect charge transfer and efficiency. Environmental challenges and strategies to enhance durability and responsiveness are outlined, including active functional layers ...
