Mabuchi spectrum from the minisuperspace
It was recently shown that other functionals contribute to the effective action for the Liouville field when considering massive matter coupled to two-dimensional gravity in the conformal gauge.

The two-sphere partition function from timelike Liouville theory at three-loop order
While the Euclidean two-dimensional gravitational path integral is in general highly fluctuating, it admits a semiclassical two-sphere saddle if coupled to a matter CFT with large and positive central charge. In Weyl gauge this gravity theory is known as

2D GRAVITY AND MATRIX MODELS I: 2D GRAVITY [PDF]
Some approaches to 2D gravity which have been developed in the last few years are reviewed. They are physical (Liouville) gravity, topological theories and matrix models. Special attention is paid to matrix models and their interrelations with different approaches. Almost all technical details are omitted, but examples are presented.

Wave functions of induced 2D gravity [PDF]
We consider the induced $2$d-gravity in the minisuperspace approach. The general solution to the Wheeler-DeWitt equation is given in terms of different kind of Bessel functions of purely real or imaginary orders. We study the properties of the corresponding probability distribution finding a kind of phase transition at the critical point $ν=0$.

A c=1 phase transition in two-dimensional CDT/Horava–Lifshitz gravity?
We study matter with central charge c>1 coupled to two-dimensional (2d) quantum gravity, here represented as causal dynamical triangulations (CDT). The 2d CDT is known to provide a regularization of (Euclidean) 2d Hořava–Lifshitz quantum gravity.

EXTENSIONS OF 2D GRAVITY [PDF]
After reviewing some aspects of gravity in two dimensions, I show that non-trivial embeddings of sl(2) in a semi-simple (super) Lie algebra give rise to a very large class of extensions of 2D gravity. The induced action is constructed as a gauged WZW model and an exact expression for the effective action is given.

Gravity as an ensemble and the moment problem
If a bulk gravitational path integral can be identified with an average of partition functions over an ensemble of boundary quantum theories, then a corresponding moment problem can be solved. We review existence and uniqueness criteria for the Stieltjes

On the equivalence of topological and quantum 2D gravity [PDF]
We demonstrate the equivalence of Virasoro constraints imposed on continuum limit of partition function of Hermitean 1-matrix model and the Ward identities of Kontsevich's model. Since the first model describes ordinary $d = 2$ quantum gravity, while the second one is supposed to coincide with Witten's topological gravity, the result provides a strong ...
