SYK correlators from 2D Liouville-de Sitter gravity

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We introduce and study a candidate gravity dual to the double scaled SYK model in the form of an exactly soluble 2D de Sitter gravity model consisting of two spacelike Liouville CFTs with complex central charge adding up to c + + c − = 26.

Quantum effects of the conformal anomaly in a 2D model of gravitational collapse

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
The macroscopic effects of the quantum conformal anomaly are evaluated in a simplified two-dimensional model of gravitational collapse. The effective action and stress tensor of the anomaly can be expressed in a local quadratic form by the introduction ...

2D GRAVITY COUPLED TO TOPOLOGICAL MINIMAL MODELS [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 1995
We discuss the properties of genus 0 correlation functions of a topological minimal model (the model Ak+1) coupled to 2D topological gravity. The action of the twisted minimal model is perturbed by nontrivial couplings to gravitational descendants, which, in turn, are constructed entirely from the fields in the matter sector of the theory.

Hybrid quantum states in 2D dilaton gravity

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2023
The classical black hole spacetime is modified semiclassically, depending strongly on the choice of the quantum states. In particular, for the Boulware state the spacetime often takes a wormhole structure mimicking closely a spacetime with a horizon.

A Biologically‐Architected Wear and Damage‐Resistant Nanoparticle Coating From the Radular Teeth of Cryptochiton stelleri

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The ultrahard teeth of mollusks that feed on rocky substrates contain a wear‐resistant coating on their surfaces consisting of densely packed mesocrystalline magnetic nanoparticles within an organic matrix. These coatings display significant hardness and toughness through their highly controlled mesocrystalline architectures.

Probing Hawking radiation through capacity of entanglement

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We consider the capacity of entanglement in models related with the gravitational phase transitions. The capacity is labeled by the replica parameter which plays a similar role to the inverse temperature in thermodynamics.

Fluorine‐Free Soft Nanocomposites for High‐Speed Liquid Impact Repellence

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐free soft nanocomposite coatings are developed using silicone oil‐mediated mechanical‐stiffness control, enabling ‘dry’ liquid‐repellent surfaces that resist high‐speed water jet impacts up to ∼60 m/s. By tuning nanoparticle loading and oil content, the coatings also achieve >90% optical transparency, amphiphobicity with impact resistance to ...

The two-sphere partition function in two-dimensional quantum gravity at fixed area

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We discuss two-dimensional quantum gravity coupled to conformal matter and fixed area in a semiclassical large and negative matter central charge limit.

Thermally Activated Delayed Fluorescence in Phase‐Separated Nanostructures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A supramolecular, phase‐separation driven strategy yields charge transfer (CT) complexes from alternating electron‐deficient pyromellitic diimide and electron‐rich 4,5‐dibromoveratrole. The resulting CT complexes self‐assemble into lamellar nanosheets with nanometer‐sized domains that exhibit thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) at room ...

Novel Functional Materials via 3D Printing by Vat Photopolymerization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This Perspective systematically analyzes strategies for incorporating functionalities into 3D‐printed materials via Vat Photopolymerization (VP). It explores the spectrum of achievable functionalities in recently reported novel materials—such as conductive, energy‐storing, biodegradable, stimuli‐responsive, self‐healing, shape‐memory, biomaterials, and
