Fermions in 2D Lorentzian Quantum Gravity
We implement Wilson fermions on 2D Lorentzian triangulation and determine the spectrum of the Dirac-Wilson operator. We compare it to the spectrum of the corresponding operator in the Euclidean background. We use fermionic particle to probe the fractal properties of Lorentzian gravity coupled to $c=1/2$ and $c=4$ matter.

Here, we present a novel 3D cell patterning and culture platform. The “Floor‐Ceiling‐Chip” (FC‐Chip) consists of two opposing track‐etched membranes, creating a pseudo‐3D microenvironment for the cells in between. By providing the membranes with micropatterned cell‐adhesive islands of varying geometries and sizes, the FC‐Chip enables control over cell ...

Using the matrix-forest theorem and the Parisi-Sourlas trick we formulate and solve a one-matrix model with non-polynomial potential which provides perturbation theory for massive spinless fermions on dynamical planar graphs. This is a lattice version of

Gravitational action for a massive Majorana fermion in 2d quantum gravity
We compute the gravitational action of a free massive Majorana fermion coupled to two-dimensional gravity on compact Riemann surfaces of arbitrary genus. The structure is similar to the case of the massive scalar.

Electric/magnetic Newton-Hooke and Carroll Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity
We construct the electric and magnetic Newton-Hooke and Carroll Jackiw-Teitelboim gravity theories using the isomorphism of Newton-Hooke ± and (A-)dS Carroll algebras in (1+1)-spacetime dimensions.

UNITARY MATRIX MODELS AND 2D QUANTUM GRAVITY [PDF]
The KdV and modified KdV integrable hierarchies are shown to be different descriptions of the same 2D gravitational system — open-closed string theory. Non-perturbative solutions of the multicritical unitary matrix models map to non-singular solutions of the 'renormalization group' equation for the string susceptibility, [Formula: see text].

Schrödinger evolution of two-dimensional black holes
This paper systematically treats the evolving quantum state for two-dimensional black holes, with particular focus on the CGHS model, but also elucidating features generalizing to higher dimensions.
