Neuroprotective Effect of Boswellia serrata against 3-NP Induced Experimental Huntington’s Disease
Current Bioactive CompoundsObjectives: The study aimed to assess the neuroprotective effect of Boswellia serrata against 3-NP-induced experimental Huntington’s disease. Background: Previous studies have shown Boswellia to have sedative, analgesic, and anti-tumour effects. Boswellia serrata yields four pentacyclic triterpene acids and boswellic acid, a bioactive substance that

The nucleotide sequence of the mRNA coding for the nucleocapsid protein (NP) of the paramyxovirus, human parainfluenza virus type 3 (PIV-3), has been determined. The NP mRNA was found to contain 1642 bases, excluding poly(A), and encode a protein of 515 amino acids, with a molecular weight of 57,823.

Abstract Complexes thallium(I)3-nitrophenoxide [Tl(3-np)], thallium(I)2,4-dinitrophenoxide [Tl(2,4-dnp)] and thallium(I)4-nitrobenzoate [Tl(4-nb)] have been synthesized using a direct reaction between TlNO 3 and the appropriate ligand. The complexes have been isolated and characterized by IR spectra and CHN elemental analyses.

The present study was designed to investigate the neuroprotective effect of selegiline on 3-nitropropionic acid (3-NP)-induced neurotoxicity. Selegiline was intraperitoneally injected at doses 2.5, 5, and 10 mg/kg, 3 days prior to and continued daily, 30 min before 3-NP administration. 3-NP (20 mg/kg, i.p.) was administered for four consecutive days. 3-

This study evaluated and compared the potential protective effects of probucol and succinobucol, two lipid-lowering compounds with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, on oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction induced by 3-nitropropionic acid (3-NP, a succinate dehydrogenase (SDH) inhibitor largely used as model of Huntington's disease)

Huntington's disease (HD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder with a wide spectrum of cognitive, behavioral and motor abnormalities. The mitochondrial toxin 3-nitropropionic acid (3-NP) effectively induces specific behavioral changes and selective striatal lesions similar to that observed in HD.

Crystal Structure of Double Co(NH3)6 3 + Np(V) Malonates Co(NH3)6(NpO2C3H2O4)2A·H2O (A = OH and NO3)
Radiochemistry, 2004X-ray diffraction analysis of Co(NH3)6(NpO2C3H2O4)2NO3·H2O (I) and Co(NH3)6(NpO2· C3H2O4)2OH·H2O (II) showed that they consist of [NpO2C3H2O4] n n - infinite anionic chains, [Co(NH3)6]3 + cations, NO3 - (I) and OH- (II) anions, and molecules of crystallization water. The anionic chain
