CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Correlation experiments in nonlinear quantum mechanics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
We show how one can compute multiple-time multi-particle correlation functions in nonlinear quantum mechanics in a way which guarantees locality of the formalism.Comment: Section on causally related corelation experiments is added (Russian roulette ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Molecular characterization of clinical IMP-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae isolates from a Chinese Tertiary Hospital

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobials, 2017
Background IMP-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae (IMPKpn) exhibits sporadic prevalence in China. The mechanisms related to the spread of IMPKpn remain unclear. Methods Carbapenem non-susceptible K. pneumoniae isolates were collected from our hospital.

Barrier‐forming, drug‐free nasal spray reduces allergic symptoms induced by house dust mite allergen

open access: yesClinical and Translational Allergy, 2023
Background House Dust Mite (HDM) is the most common indoor allergen triggering allergic symptoms. First‐line pharmacotherapy treatment is recommended in international guidelines, while the avoidance of allergens represents a still unmet guideline ...

Herschel observations of dust around the high-mass X-ray binary GX 301-2

open access: yes, 2014
We aim at characterising the structure of the gas and dust around the high mass X-ray binary GX 301-2, a highly obscured X-ray binary hosting a hypergiant star and a neutron star, in order to better constrain its evolution.

New Onset of Fibromyalgia After Exposure to a Combat Environment: A Longitudinal Cohort Study

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Traumatic life events are hypothesized to be triggers for the onset of fibromyalgia. Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a common comorbidity of fibromyalgia. However, limited prospective data are available on the development of fibromyalgia after exposure to high‐magnitude stress.

Prevalence of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus in Australia, 2010–2022: A Population‐Based Study Using Linked National Administrative Health Data

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a heterogenous inflammatory condition with widely varying global prevalence estimates. The frequency of SLE in the general population of Australia has been reported to be notably lower than contemporary estimates in countries such as the United States or United Kingdom, at 19 to 39 per 100,000 as opposed ...

Evaporation-driven assembly of colloidal particles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Colloidal particles absorbed at the interface of a liquid droplet arrange into unique packings during slow evaporation (Manoharan et al. Science 301 pp 483-487). We present a numerical and theoretical analysis of the packing selection problem.
